My family and I were in the area and hungry and looked for a restaurant on Yelp. Mr. Jalapeño came up, so we decided to give it a try. Parking is easy to find in the neighboring lot. We were greeted soon thereafter and seated. The restaurant was pretty dead. Our waiter brought chips and salsa soon after being seated and took our orders. He forgot TY take our drink orders. The chips were some of the worst I've ever had; I've had better store bought chips. The salsa was decent but didn't wow any of us. We ordered one children's meal with fries and a quesadilla, mozzarella sticks, and my wife opted for the chicken flautas. I ordered the Mr. Jalapeño plate, which is skirt steak, two cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, cactus, salad, guacamole, and tortillas.They brought out two children's meals after we had made it abundantly clear that we only needed one, and we were charged for both. Neither of our daughters really cared for anything, and they're not picky eaters at all. My wife said the chicken flautas were decent but not great. The Mr. Jalapeño plate was very disappointing. The skirt steak was fatty, grisly, and not marinated or seasoned very well. The rice was very bland, and the beans were a bit runny. The guacamole was missing. They brought out corn tortillas and never offered flour. They said they were homemade tortillas, but if they were, they were very underwhelming. The enchiladas were hands down the worst I've had in my entire life. They looked like two tiny quesadillas smothered in enchilada sauce. I'm used to much better than what we were served. Needless to say, there's no way in hell we'll be back here. It was very disappointing, to say the least. It wasn't impressive in any way. To top things off, I mentioned they were out of hand soap in the men's restroom after we ordered when I went in to wash my hands. They never replaced it before we left, and I ended up washing my hands in the ladies' restroom.

The only reason I have chosen to give this place a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because they don't have a parking lot which could be a bit of a hassle. Aside from that - This place was amazing! Our server was super attentive and very kind, excellent customer service overall. The ambiance was so cozy as well. I was sat in a booth and it felt very intimate and somewhat home-y, which was nice for my boyfriend who tends to have anxiety about eating out. The food itself was great!! Very well cooked and seasoned and big portions.

Normally, I'd give Mr. Jalapeño a 5 . I'd give them 10 for their food if it was possible. Everything I've eaten from this truck has been amazing. But today, a Taco Tuesday, they're closed. CLOSED!!! No Mr. Jalapeño Food Truck. No tacos today, no burritos today, no tortas today, no sopes or quesadillas today. Nothing on Taco Tuesday. We are beyond sad. Hangry is entering the room. Does this mean I will no longer patronize this business? HELL NAW.

I absolutely love this restaurant. They have wonderful food that reminds me of my mothers home cooking! The service is impeccable and couldn't ask for better experience. I will absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. I have tried their menudo, birria shrimp cocktail and appetizers... all of them... and they are all so yummy! Now the best part... homemade tortillas!!!!!!!

Bumpy start, friend and I arrived before another couple who was given menus and order taken before us. Had to hunt the waitress down to get menus and she tried to act we had just arrived. Hector came to apologize and make-up for the waitress. We ordered tacos and shrimp cocktails - both were very tasty and good! The shrimp was so fresh! Will return due to the good quality being great with hopes of better customer service.

Reserved the private hall to host my wife's Bday party with about 50 friends and family and the kids.Service is very attentive and friendly.We were able to set up the tables to our liking.The food was to die for.100% recommend

Our visit was long overdue. My husband and I stopped in for breakfast. We were greeted by Daisy who was also our server. We sat down and were presented with warm, fresh tortilla chips and yummy salsa. I ordered coffee and have been thinking about it ever since. We both ordered Chilaquiles. The portion was plentiful. Everything was delicious including the rice and beans. I had enough left over to enjoy the following morning. My inlaws visited the same day for dinner and were very pleased. I have been encouraging everyone to support our local small business. We will be back for sure. Thank you Daisy for making our first visit wonderful!
