Today I went into the mijos hijos bakery to be turned down and to walk away because I had a service dog which is against the law to do first thing is to be charged with a misdemeanor. I reiterated that that he is a service dog and I told him it was against the law to turn me away but to no avail she didn't give a crap for the mail a host bakery I will give it a -10 to her service and how rude they were.

I've ordered the 3 leches and mil hojas cakes. Both are delicious. Not too sweet and with lots of berries. I've also had their tamales and most of their bread. This is a very legit bakery with many options and fresh bread throughout the day. The owner (young guy) started making mil hojas cake in his living room and now he runs this place. Nice to see it always packed.

Selection of mexican sweet bread limited. Bread is ok but i expect a mexican bakery to have fresh made bread at opening. Got there when it opened and the lack of the smell of fresh baked bread worried me. Sweet bread is best eaten when fresh if not the texture can get dry after being displayed in large displays. I also do not see the need to make the bread portions double and triple the size of a normal serving. Conchas that are the size of a 10” cake pan is not necessary as are every piece of bread on display. When i asked if they had regular size bread pieces i was told that they already ran out of it even though i was there when the door got unlocked.
Also noticed several plastic storage containers filled with bread on a counter which proved my suspicions and that they resale day old bread and it is priced the same.
In any bakery that is unacceptable for this kind of bread

Stay away from this bakery! They make up prices as they wish and are always over charging. Check your receipt and ask for prices as they ring you up. They will rip you off that is the only guarantee. When you overcharge one customer it’s one thing, when you consistently overcharge all the customers it turns into a legal matter of bad business practice. The bread was not good and to be honest the grocery store next door has better quality bread at a fraction of the cost.

The mexican sweet bread and bolillo was good. Tried the tamales, they were ok.

Súper panadería, recomiendo todo, pero mi pan favorito son las donas 🍩 de chocolate, la atención súper. mil hojas te llevará a revivir las panaderías de México con su sabor.

First time i buy tamales there will never buy again.not worth the money 95 percent masa a tea spoon of meat . If you go there buy one and you wont spend 34 dollars there.you people that say they are the best dont know good food.they are worth about 6 dollars a dozen if that.only good thing is the bread

Idk what Denise is on but this place is amazing. They didn’t have slices available this time that I came in but I got the fruit tart and it was the best freaking fruit tart I’ve ever had. Every piece of fruit was sweet, from the mango to the blueberries. The crust was perfect, not hard and rocky but firm and just kinda melts in your mouth with the cream. It’s not that unnaturally sweet, which is great because the fruit was perfect. Juan is such a great person, and his speciality cakes (which the store was named after) are worth it. They use fresh produce and make the cakes fresh, so of course they’re worth the money. Support your local bakeries, not the ones in groceries stores that are generic and mass produced! You won’t regret it.
