This is a small family Mom and Pop style restaurant which is very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. My review, however, is based on the food.
I ordered eggs Benedict but sadly had to send it back. The eggs were hard and the sauce had a strange dull yellow color with very little flavor. It made me wonder if the sauce was from a can And not fresh, likely having unhealthy ingredients in it. My hashbrowns were well cooked in crispy as I requested. However, I could taste the oil that they cooked the potatoes in and this flavor was not particularly pleasant. I don’t normally notice the taste of the oil from hashbrowns.
They kindly allowed me to order something else and I had an omelette with bacon and Avocado. The Avocado was generous and I enjoyed the omelette. I asked that it would be cooked soft to avoid it being Dry, having that Brown crust on the eggs which can happen at many restaurants.
This omelette was very tasty but I must say it’s not actually an omelette. Omelettes are eggs cooked in the skillet with the ingredients placed on top and the egg is folded over to enclosed ingredients. This so-called omelette was actually a scramble with everything mixed inside the eggs like a scramble and cooked firm like an omelette. It made no difference to me. It was quite good but I thought it’s note worthy to mention it’s not actually an omelette.
I ordered a biscuit with this meal and like so many restaurants it was rather heavy. There was nothing outstanding about it but it was OK and I ate it. I have yet to find a good biscuit in a restaurant.
The O’Brien potatoes were large chunks and didn’t have any special seasoning besides salt. They were probably fine for someone who likes bland food. There was very little pepper and onion mixed in.
My partner ordered a skillet. He found the whole thing rather flavorless and lacking much flavor , as well as a Lytle or cooked and dry.
This is a popular place that I don’t know if it’s because of their breakfast or their lunches. Many people are probably satisfied with a very ordinary meal with nothing particularly outstanding at the meal and sometimes slacking certain qualities. If you’re not particular you’ll probably find something very good that you will enjoy.
Old Time diner feel. Breakfast lunch place..Very friendly people...food is pretty good.went in for lunch..they close early I had a sandwich and my friend had the huevos rancheros...he said it was just ok...mine was good. Definitely be back for breakfast
Really great diner style food with great family ownership. Delicious
Great food and service.
Love coming here for breakfast!
Great breakfast!!
Family owned and run for over 35+ years. Very clean with a dinner atmosphere. Very good choice of dishes for, breakfast and lunch. Open from; 7 am till 1:30 pm, closed on, Wednesday. Parking with handicapped available
Very disappointed! First of all the food was very over priced especially for the portions you get . Worst hashbrowns I've ever had and they were cold by the way hard and taste a bit burnt. I did order my food to go but I've this by far was the worst place I've ever ordered food from .I do not reccomend! For 2 plain waffles 2 has browns and 1 omelet with toast and has browns it was about 57 dollars
Food was okay, a little overpriced for simple food items. The hash browns were hard and burnt and overall the food was cold.
I like their food, they have good service too.

My 8 yr old son's honest review: "At first glance, this may seem like an ordinary diner but it's so good that I almost inhaled my food and also it felt like Jesus touched me." My husband and I had the California omelette and the Cobb salad, both were excellent! Great service too! We'll definitely be back.
Kid-friendliness: My son said the pancakes, french fries and chicken nuggets were awesome. He rated it better than McDonald's (which is now his old favorite)!

Our first visit was a "must go back!!" Hubbie and I loved the Skillet breakfast and the Cornbeef Hash and Eggs. The homemade Hash was perfectly crisp and delicious on the outside and a nice consistency inside. Great menu choices with decent prices and friendly, attentive service. Thanks for starting our day off with a delicious meal! We found the hidden gem! ?
