Barb greeted us, and Haven was our server. The atmosphere and service were excellent! We ordered the artichoke dip and pork belly as starters, and both were so good! We were the only people in the restaurant, and it took quite a bit to get our food. My sister got filet mignon, which she said was cooked just right, but the sides tasted old and were not hot. My brother-in-law had the chicken fried prime rib, and he said it was delicious! I had the beyond burger with fries. The burger was ok, and the fries were cold. We did not notify them of the issues, so I can't update on problem resolution. Overall, I will go again.
The food, service and atmosphere is so good that I am still here enjoying everything! I had to give a great review! Definitely, worth stopping by when you’re in the area! Awesome time and experience!
Delicious meal, friendly staff, great dinner. Cmon now, enjoy!
Loved the food, loved the great service.
A nice, cozy place.
I will return.
Lovely place, very good service, delicious food, owner/ chef is extremely friendly and cares about providing good service, even with picky or difficult guests. Wait staff is great, very friendly and professional.
The last time I was at this restaurant was probably 10 ago. I remember the place being tired looking, expensive, and food not that great. Since then, new owners have taken over. Here’s my summery: The place had been newly revamped/remodeled, nicely decorated and was clean and fresh feeling, so kudos there! There were two of us there dining on a Sunday around 6pm and the place was nearly empty with only one waiter/owner working the floor. The service was slow. It was 15min before we got our drinks and another 15 before we placed our orders. There were only two kinds of steaks offered on the menu. Ribeye and filet mignon, which for being a steakhouse, was a bit of a disappointment. I expect to at least see sirloin and New York offered. They only offer prime rib on Thursdays. The steak comes with potatoes and vegetables only. So if you want a salad, that’s another seven bucks extra. When our food finally arrived, aside from the 14 ounce ribeye we ordered, the rest of portions were small. The salad was a disappointment as well being very small, and hardly anything in the lettuce beside the one tomato I counted. When the food finally arrived, it was tepid and the steaks were a bit tough, too. In short, it cost us over $200 bucks (tip included) for two steaks, one glass of house wine, one coffee, two lousy salads, and two desserts. Needless to say, I did not leave there feeling like I got my money’s worth in either service or food. To be fair, I know that restaurants are up against it, especially in California where wages, services, regulations, and food cost are driving high prices. But lettuce, vegetables, and potatoes are still on the cheaper side of things, and good prompt service should be a given. I do hope 50 Grand Steakhouse will read and improve here, as I wish them success in one of the most difficult business to thrive in here in California.
Amazing food, filet
melted in my mouth. Chicken soup was superb. Bananas Foster was to die for. Can’t express adequately what an incredible dining experience we had. Must try!!!!
I thought this place had a great vibe and really good food as well
The prices are outrageous for what you get. There is a huge disconnect between the price and quality of food. I have had $50 dollar steaks and that is not it. Vegetables didn’t even taste good. Service was excellent! But We won’t be back.
Good food. Great Bar.

The guy at the bar is super nice 5⭐️ for him. Forgot his name, Jake? Good attitude, fantastic service, very attentive and polite.
I love going to dinner don't get me wrong however I felt that this place was just a little bit expensive especially for what we ordered.
Wait and bar staff ignored my party completely trying to order drinks for over 20 minutes. Food took over an hour and was sub-par. I understand it gets busy, but please hire wait staff that can pay attention to their surroundings and not blatantly ignore customers if you want to survive in this economy
'24/11 2nd time customer:
-- Easy find direct off Hwy 50 on surface road, plenty free parking. Throw back steakhouse feel with well stocked bar and indoor, enclosed fireplace.
-- Large dining room can easily accommodate mobility access chairs/strollers.
-- Quiet, non-music interior makes for easy talking and accommodating to hearing impaired.
-- Subdued lighting
-- Decent menu--appetizers, main, & dessert.
>> End Takeaway: Worthy steakhouse stop.
American cuisine. Family style restaurant. Food was middle of the road average. Nothing we had screamed “fine cuisine” like I’ve read in another review. Everyone was very nice and hospitable coming and going except for our waitress. We think our waitress must be a manager or a supervisor or something because she doesn’t really know how to engage with the customers. The menu on their website does not match the menu in person. So if you’re looking online don’t expect to have the same options in person.
