My partner and I came here for lunch and wanted to try the lunch combos. A combo is $14.50 for half sandwich/ half soup or half sandwich/half salad. We both got the So This Bacon Went on a Date, my partner added chicken for $4 more and got the veggie soup. I got the chicken salad salad. Overall the food was okay. Although the ingredients tasted fresh, there wasn't really a wow factor to the food and the price doesn't really match the portion. After spending $30+ , we are left feeling a bit hungry still. Also my partner had asked for hot sauce in which the girl at the counter said she can give her some. When my partner went inside to grab some of the hot sauce, the guy asked the girl if she charged us ? So apparently even after spending more than $30, you're expected to be charged for a tiny sauce cup of Louisiana hot sauce. Hearing that turned me off from wanting to come back to try the s'mores sandwich sadly.

During the past 2years between health issues and not driving anymore I have rarely had it.I called today and ordered 3 bowls because Kanna (?) an employee said that they had one pot left and they will not be making it anymore! Why? They end up throwing too much away because no one is ordering it! Kanna said customers have said the soup "sounds gross" but once they try a free sample...They love it!For a few years I called them as often as I was available asking if it was on the menu that day and they had frequently said no or just sold out!!!HELLO ALL PB&J FANS AND FUTURE FANS!!! (Great and Fresh Salads and Sandwiches Also!!! The only place that makes sandwiches like you would make for yourself at home!)Like ANY of their other soups?Like a good cheeseburger? (hello The Habit)Then you will Fall in Love with this soup!It is definitely worth a free sample!If you're near the store, 601W. Channel Islands Blvd. Port Hueneme 93051 between Ralph's and CVS, tomorrow 8/9 and maybe Thursday 8/10, try it and give them your opinion and if you would comeback for more Cheeseburger Soup!!! The basic pbj and the basic pb&honey on (fresh, SOFT) wheat bread brought me to tears it was so good. It tasted exactly like what my nana made me as a child. And, under $10!On a separate visit, not pictured, I ordered the blt which was absolutely stellar.I have a hard time veering from the original basic but look forward to eventually trying some additional sandwiches.
