Great food and great atmosphere. They make their own homemade banchan and it's the best I've had including ktown places. Great galbi jim is my favorite.

Came here on a Sat night after going to church nearby. 1hr wait for our party of 5 at 745pm. We were one of the larger groups waiting. We saw a big corner table free up and thought they would seat us but they seated a group of 3 instead. It became clear they were just going to go in order on the list so if you like that equity, then good. When it was our turn, they crammed us in a booth.

Food is decent, for the valley. Enough to satisfy. The service, on the other hand, is very below average. Either they don't have proper training or don't give a care because they have customers coming in regardless.

Maybe the bad service is also because of the tone set by a lady server who we were wondering is either the owner or general manager.

She argued with my friend Andrew who had put his name down as it looked written like Angie. She brought refills of our banchan but literally forgot to bring refills of our barley tea as part of the same request.

They brought our check but did not come back with pay terminal until we kept asking so that was 15 mins later.

Overall, want some decent korean food in the Valley, this spot is ok. But the terrible service is what brought me here to write this review.

Oh, and the lady also accidentally spilled hot water on the child in our group.

Food is delicious! Sides are great! Service is bad but food does come out fairly quickly. Place is really small inside so there is usually a wait to be seated.

Probably the best Korean food I've had in the valley. I do complain about the waiters being inexperienced though. Good food though.

I came here cause my friend recommended it and usually Korean food in the valley in my experience is mostly okay. I was surprised how many people were waiting also because I think it's pretty new in the valley from what I heard. The portions are definitely big enough to make you full and they give you refills on banchan if you'd like. The banchan I had the fishcake surprised me it's definitely better textured and flavored than most of the fishcake banchan I had. Now for the Seolleongtang it's some of the best I've had but I was also super hungry. They give a good amount of meat and noodles too in the soup. My friends ordered a lot of the hot stone dishes, the reoppoki, and the katsu curry and they also said it was really good. I also got the Koreanade it's very refreshing, not too sweet. Service is super friendly even when they're packed. I'll definitely be coming back here.

Vegetarian options: The mushroom curry is supposedly really good

Dietary restrictions: Korean soups often might have seafood in the soup base even if it doesn't list it make sure you ask

Was in the area and invited an high school friend out to eat and came here hoping for consistent quality of food that we have in the OC location. The wait wasn't too bad and interior decor was nice like food stalls which we got a booth for three people. The jap chae we ordered was good and very peppery. The thing I was hoping for that was the disappointment was the garlic su yuk. if you look at the picture you'll see why. That dish was 95% fat and skin with at most 5% meat. There would have been no way any of our health could survive that dish so we had to send it back and cancel the order since they didn't have any pork belly that had better meat to fat ratio.

The food was okay they could've made the kimchi taste way more better, but the main meal it just didn't taste that good tbh. The bulgogi could've had more flavor.
The atmosphere was pretty cool and cozy, I loved the music :). Service was okay they kinda gotten confused with the orders and didn't make much sense what they were trying to say or do. Nor one of them understood what I was trying to say

TLDR: beautiful little restaurant with fast service and good vegan options, but not very flexible.

Atmosphere: clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. When you look at the details, there is nothing fancy, but this is one of the most cleverly decorated restaurants I've seen.

Service: kind servers, but even without many customers, they did not pay as much attention to us as other guests while we sat near the door.

Food: three distinct vegan options. I got the bi bim bap. It was very tasty. However, I was disappointed that they would not let me add tofu to the dish. Also, their Kimchi does have fish sauce, so if you are kimchi lover like me... it feels just a bit incomplete without tofu and kimchi. Otherwise, fresh, tasty, and not greasy. Everything you want from a bi bim bap!
