What did I just eat? I got the New Zealand Salmon. It was small, no salt, no special seasoning, no garlic sauce or anything. It's just a piece of salmon. Anyone can make the same exact thing at home, why are we paying 40 bucks for this supposed fish house to make a bland salmon? Make it interesting. The sides were fine but were shockingly tiny. I would definitely not go back.

Lure is probably the best option in the Vineyards. Their service is great and the food is solid. Can get very busy at times.

This is not a good location for black people! The management team is absolutely biased, and it shows it every interaction. However, many of the staff are great, but management can def benefit from racial biased training.

Lure Porter Ranch was a giant disappointment. Went in mid afternoon. Not crowded. Plenty of tables. But we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Then another 15 minutes for water, and another 10 minutes for drinks. The waitress finally came to our table and we conveyed half our order and then she just took off! Surreal. After another long wait, we then got 1/2 the portion we ordered, as she wrote down the happy hour vs the full order menu item. We were able to finally complete our order, getting 2 salads with blackened salmon. And of course, the salmon didn't come blackened. It was just one thing after another.

So the bar seating situation needs someImprovement. Either give bar patrons a time limit (ie. 90mins) or have some type of organization with bar seating. People literally stand around and wait for people to get up. It’s looks horrible and it can cause conflict. Pls do better!

Always great food and excellent service Whenever we eat at Lure Fish House in Porter Ranch, we can count on having a great meal. But we also can expect excellent service. Our recent visit was a little more extraordinary because of our server, Mar. Since we had been there before, but it had been a while, Mar asked if we knew what we wanted or if we wanted to hear the menu explained. We chose the latter. She also asked if we had allergies, which we did not. Not many restaurants ask that, which can be important because not all ingredients are listed and some people forget to mention it. We ordered our usual cup of Clam Chowder and asked about the Dungeness Crab Cocktail. Mar told us what we wanted to hear and ordered it. We shared both appetizers and enjoyed them both. For our entrées, my wife stepped out of her comfort zone and did not order her usual but rather the White Sea Bass in Almondine-style, which is crusted with breadcrumbs, parmesan and almonds. I went with my semi-usual of the Crispy Fish, Shrimp & Chips Combo, but with Pineapple Coleslaw, on the suggestion of Mar during the explanation of the menu. When the meals arrived, my wife said the Sea Bass was good, but she probably would not get it that way again. Mar checked in on us and my wife repeated what she had told me. Mar then said, "I have just the sauce to make it better." She returned with the sauce that comes with the Sally's Sand Dabs, which is a lemon caper sauce. My wife said it changed the entire meal and was amazing, which she thanked Mar for when she again checked in on us. For me, the Pineapple Cole Slaw matched perfectly with the fish and shrimp. I never would have thought of that. Mar truly knows the menu and what pairs well and complements each dish. I believe we will be visiting more often, asking for Mar on each visit and stepping out of our comfort zones more often, with Mar's guidance. Thank you.

The food was surprisingly low quality reminded me of a applebee's, or chilis quality but with a higher price point. The Clam Chowder was very salty with more bacon bits then anything else. The Fish sandwich was like it came straight from the grocery store frozen food section. Idk Maybe my fault going in with high expectations...

Food is always delicious...but noisy...we prefer dining on the patio so we tend to go there for lunch, or on warmer/not windy evenings (hey, it's Porter Ranch...where the wind is often an issue!).

They have decent seafood she could find better and not so expensive. I really enjoy a beat and goat cheese salad but at almost $18 that's a bit pricey. For a little salad they are lobster roll. I had it was OK. A bit dry could've had better overall it was OK. As far as restaurants go I think the best you're gonna get for a chain but they're good alternative to meat places.

I'm not one to be a difficult customer, I understand restaurants get busy, especially on weekends and because of that I try my best to be easy on the servers, but I almost felt like our server had just started working here a week ago. To begin, I had asked her how the Ventura limoncello drink was and if it was similar to a lemon drop and she said yes it was, so I said i'd take that, or so I thought. Minutes later she comes back to ask me what vodka I'd prefer and I was honestly confused why she asked, but I said the well vodka is fine. At the end of our visit when we get the receipt, I come to find out it was not the Ventura limoncello but a regular lemon drop. Yes, I enjoyed it and it was a delicious drink, but it's not what I ordered. Now I know that's not the worst problem and I would've let it slide if one of our parties entrees had actually showed up. We got our apps and little after that most of the entrees came. One person in the party had ordered a side salad with their meal and the small salad came, but the main course did not. We found our server and told her the situation and she said she'd go check out what was happening. Around 7 minutes later, assuming it was a manager, brought the entree gave it to our friend and then left. She did not apologize or say anything to help with the mistake that was made by her kitchen. Once we got the bill the missing entree wasn't comped or even discounted. I'm not a customer that nit-picks and finds issues and try's to get free food, but the server should have done something with her manager for an entree that almost didn't show up if we didn't say anything, especially because by the time it came everyone had already finished their food. Hopefully things are better next time, but to end on a positive note, their tequila shrimp pasta, which was ordered by most of the group, is an absolute 10/10 every time. So flavorful!

Really love the food and ambience here. The seafood choices are amazing. My favorite has to be the oysters and the salmon dish.

My husband and I have been coming to this location for a year now and it has been very delicious. The menu does change often due to season of fish. The best item on the menu is the CLAM CHOWDER!!
