Service was great, good vibes. Too bad the food is not fresh. The nori is visibly old and tastes horrible. The beef in the kids combo was bland and dry. We got large nigiri combos and the fish was just off. Sad too say we will not be returning.

Let alone higher prices is one thing, but when you reduce the meal size your just another greedy owner. The Bento box went up $ 2 dollars. Soup and salad dropped to one only and the salad on the Bento box has been taken out. Ginger root does’nt even come with your Sushi anymore. Regular customer,! Not Anymore.

I visited this place very often. When Francisco was there, the taste of the sushi was delicious and unique. Then I returned and they had someone else making the sushi, not the same flavor but I assimilated. Today I stopped by for sushi and ordered my favorite as always. The taste was somewhat horrendous. Simple, the cucumber was old, bitter, not edible. I let the waitress know. She didn't bother to say, "I'll change it or something." She just said, "I'll let the kitchen staff know so it doesn't happen to the other customers." I brought the sushi to the house but I took the cucumber from him and left it on the table, when it was time to pay I told the cashier what happened waiting if she said I will give you a discount to which she replied if I heard that they were telling the person who prepares the sushi, He clarified that we ate other dishes about which I have no complaints, but the poor service and the lack of attention they have will make customers go to Castroville with Francisco.
