What a hidden gem!! My husband had the Thunder Egg sandwich. He's still talking about how great it was. I had good ol' oatmeal and it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. Would we go back...heck yes!!

PATTI, MY DAUGHTER AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR RESTURANT!!! Our only problem, is that we normally come in on Tuesdays, coming from Tobin, down in the Caynon. The past few Tuesdays the business has been closed. I need to inquire..... are you now closed Tuesdays AND Wednesdays?? We miss you and your fun staff.

Food quality depends on the chef of the day. Unfortunately, this is the only breakfast restaurant in Quincy, and they do not even have a legible menu posted online.

Spent two days in Quincy and ate breakfast here on both days. Hearty meals, huge menu selection, excellent service, good coffee, pleasant eclectic environment reminiscent of Portland, OR. Great pastries. Highly recommend.

Traveling from indiana and stopped here to eat lunch, the food is exceptional, service was excellent, great atmosphere, there was a wait to get a table, I would imagine that is normal, they are very good, absolutely delicious, we hope to go back some dat

A must visit if from out of town, a weekly or more if local. Patty's serves up great dishes with lots of variety and daily specials. Love the Vegetator for anytime of day. Salads that are a meal in themselves. Fresh, healthy ingredients. Closes daily at 2 pm and closed Wednesdays.

Morning Thunder Café is a true gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about making sure guests have a great experience.
The food was excellent—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. Whether you're into traditional breakfast plates or something a bit more unique, there's something for everyone. Portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade in the best way possible.
One thing that really stood out to me was the atmosphere. There’s a sign posted that politely asks patrons not to use cellphones inside the restaurant. I really appreciated this—it created a peaceful, present environment where people were actually enjoying conversation and their meals without distractions. That said, the staff wasn’t overly strict about it, and when I asked if I could take a few pictures of the food out of respect for the policy, they were very kind and understanding.
It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, thoughtful service, and a cozy, mindful atmosphere, but Morning Thunder Café pulls it off beautifully. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality breakfast or brunch experience.

Food was very poor, they tried charging me for every single topping that I wanted on a breakfast burrito.... waitress said breakfast burrito comes with meat and cheese, that's it... On top of that, My waitress was high as a kite, I assume on fentanyl or Heroin, (she looked very sleepy... Even when speaking) pretty sure her name tag said Lexi. If the restaurant owner reads this... DRUG TEST YOUR WAITRESS'S. Other than the waitress nodding and the food being sub par at best, the atmosphere was great, seemed like a bunch of regulars.
