Awesome burger! Real ice cream shake, I actually saw her put a scoop of peanut butter and chopped banana. Superb! Beautiful shaded seating area, creek side.

It was goodnice people a little high priced for what we ate but a nice little place with a great sitting area to eat at and it looked clean

This local spot is ideal for a quick bite on a summer road trip. There is a broad variety of burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, and fries. However, the mushroom swiss burger is especially good. Patrons are welcomed by a comfortable outdoor seating area under several shade trees. As local joints go this is worth a visit while traveling the mountain highways of northeast California.

the gals inside were very rude and unprofessional. It took 30+ mins to get our food

I've been eating at the Polka Dot for 20+ years, I have to drive about 4 hours to get there. The food has always been good and they make um as you order. It takes a little longer but the wait is worth it. Another great thing about this place is it's outdoor dining with small natural creeks running through the property. ???

This has been by far one of the worst places I have ever eaten at I payed for extra cheese on my burger and when my burgers arrived none had any damn cheese I order "the giant burger" and I swear it looks worst than the kids small burgers they also burned my patty and I payed for extra bacon and didn't get it,over all this place is expensive and nasty and long wait..its nothing fancy it is NOT a must seen or stop place never coming back again!

Good food, it's just takes a while to get it. Awesome eating area. Great place if you have some time to hang out.

The food is just okay. The shakes and malts are much better than the food. Pricing is reasonable and it took about 15 minutes for our food to be made. We had the chicken strips, buffalo chicken sandwich, a regular hamburger, order of fries and some spicy mozzarella sticks. The spicy mozzarella sticks tasted slightly better than those from the grocery store. We also had a fresh strawberry malt which was really really good! The rest of the food was just average.

We used to live in Quincy and came up with our granddaughters to show them around. Everything else seemed to be indoor dining and during Covid time we wanted to eat outside. The Polka Dot has a nice outside dining area with picnic tables near a little "mini-creek." Sadly, the food was mediocre at best. Edible but nothing exciting. The service was as slow as the other Yelp reviews indicate. We had a small order just for the kids and it took 35 minutes. But, it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the picnic area. Don't expect "fast food" and don't expect anything exciting. It's sad, with just a little effort this could be a really cool spot.

Old school hamburger stand is the vibe... walk-up window, outdoor seating or to take out. Fact is it is the only hamburger stand in town... don't look for the McWendyStarKing junk because there isn't any. A good thing actually. Sadly Poka Dot could use some competition... I'm being generous with 3 stars mostly because the old school local hamburger/frosty stand is an endangered species. The menu offerings here are numerous... too numerous perhaps. I ordered a giant burger with the works... be sure to ask for tomato and onion if you want it... The bun was fresh and toasted, the veggies fresh and crisp, the meat was a 5/1 patty (that's 5 patties per pound or 3.2 oz each) cooked and seasoned nicely with just the right amount of condiments. I liked it very much... a typical old school burger and ya can't get that at McWendyStar. Daughter had chicken strips, we both had fries and split an order of onion rings. The fries were a total disappointment... Cooked in fresh oil but not properly. They were soggy and not hot, warm but not warm enough. The onion rings were typical frozen rings but were solid onions not that chipped and formed junk... fried perfectly and tasty but also not hot. Sad real sad. The daughter's chicken was OK, not great, not bad and not worth the $$, but also sad. The wait for food. Oh my... totally unacceptable. I expect a wait at the old burger stands, things are cooked to order and that takes more time than the assembly line using pre-cooked food at the McKingJrs. Fact is I'm more concerned if the food comes out too fast!! ...but seriously for a busy but not crowded time I was there over a half-hour wait for a burger and things from the deep fryer is silly. I may stop in again, but more likely will eat in Grayeagle or before Quincy... even if it has to be at one of the horrid WendyMcKings...

This place has bomb shakes. Tots are awesome. Mainly fried comfort food when you need it. Burgers are a little overpriced, but that's Quincy CA for ya. Would surely recommend the stop for a shake. Good service, but a little slow. Nice shaded outdoor seating area.
