Love the Thursday line dancing experience, but the dining was a little odd. It was a little abrasive to me to be charged 2$ for a plastic water bottle with my 30$ meal, as this is a sit down restaurant. I have never experienced that before. We were spending well over 70$ at our table and refused water cups. Plastic luke warm water is not great when I’m paying for a nice dining experience 😭 we are also charged the cover charge even though we are dining. It seems gross and money hungry. The mood when we came in was not welcoming at all and they made us stand outside for four minutes until they could technically charge us the cover. I’ve had so many customer service jobs I was just surprised at the really unwelcoming vibe at the front. It felt like they wanted us to leave and kept saying we would have to buy four entrees even though that was the plan because we were dining. The food was delish but if you are going during the line dancing I wouldn't recommend dining in because I think the staff is overwhelmed with everything going on and you won’t get the best experience for the price you are paying. We had to wait an hour for our food and another hour after finishing for the check. (Our waitress was very sweet) it just seems like maybe the dining/dancing system isn’t in the best rhythm and because of that the individual customer experience gets lost.

Absolutely incredible atmosphere. Some of the best, authentic Italian food in the area. Great staff, especially bartender Shelby. Can't wait to go back!

Had an amazing time the last time I was at The Barn this time the waitress said she couldn't put bubble in the can when we told he the sodas were all flat. In general she was unpleasant. I will go again but make sure she is not my waitress.

The barn is probably the worst restaurant in Ramona. Walked in an hour before closing no one was in the dining room at all so you would think you would get good service and maybe the food wouldn’t be terrible but neither was true. Besides, not letting us try the only Cabernet they had by the glass the waitress couldn’t remember much with an empty dining room to boot. Steaks came out tough and overcooked. You’re way better off going to De Carlo’s or Rachel’s. That’s the last time I’ll ever go to the barn!

The food was amazing! We had some concern how good it would be due to the expansive menu and everything was on point. We are extremely happy we stumbled across this place!!

I’ve been coming to the barn for years now. I have to say most restaurants are hit and miss on quality of your food. The barn stands out to me by its constant consistency on the quality. I’d highly suggest anything that’s on their menu ! You won’t be disappointed! The service is also always 5star! Should out to one of our favs Shelby!

We moved here from the coast in April 2024, and at first, The Barn seemed promising. I’ve been there about five times, and while the first two visits were pleasant—despite slow service due to a single bartender handling the entire restaurant—things took a turn for the worse after that.
On our third visit, I wanted to order pizza, only to be told that the owner is typically the one who makes it and wasn’t there that night. That meant no pizza. It was baffling that a restaurant would rely on just one person for such a staple menu item.
Still willing to give it another shot, we returned and encountered even more issues. My wife tried ordering dinner but was told they were out of multiple basic ingredients. She then opted for a baked potato, only to be told they were out of sour cream. How does a restaurant run out of something as simple as sour cream without making a quick trip to the store?
Our most recent visit was the most frustrating. We wanted wings as an appetizer, but the waitress returned to inform us they would take 15 minutes just to start cooking. Already hungry, we passed. Then, my 19-year-old son ordered a Diet Coke. It was served in a small cocktail glass, and after just a few sips, it was gone. When he asked for a refill, they informed him they were out of Diet Coke—seriously? My wife ordered seltzer water, also served in a small cocktail glass. When she ordered another, they again served it in the same tiny glass. When we got the bill, we were stunned to see they charged $3 per seltzer water and $3 for the Diet Coke.
This restaurant needs to get its act together. Running out of basic items, failing to accommodate customers, and charging premium prices for meager portions of soda is unacceptable. Unfortunately, after multiple disappointing experiences, we’re not sure we’ll be returning.

Petty as hell want to charge two dollars for a glass of water and then can’t even get the hamburger cooked right

Very nice place with absolutely delicious food! I had the tri-tip steak and it was so mouth watering good. It was cooked perfect (medium rare) and so juicy it just melted in your mouth! We got seated in the lounge of which is a more private area with super comfortable seats and couches with real low lighting making it a bit more comfortable for my best friend and my wife's best friends blind first date of which we doubled with them. Everyone ordered different plates and everyone really enjoyed them from my tri-tip to the lobster raviolis, fish and soup and salad. The waitress was very nice and kept checking out drinks and if we needed anything or if the food was to our liking, of which I must say, seems harder and harder to find good service these days! We weren't rushed out and actually sit for awhile after our meal and just talked for a bit without any looks or being made uncomfortable 😁I highly recommend The Barn to everyone who's looking for a spectacular and very comfortable dining experience with awesome and delicious food!
