We used to enjoy coming here a lot pre-pandemic. It's a bit pricey in my opinion, but it's a healthier option than other places. There is a good amount of options. We used to really enjoy the cookies as well. The customer service is not what it used to be. The options have good ingredients. I noticed they are more sustainable based on their salad packaging. It's not as pretty, but better for the Earth.

My main issue this time we visited was their promotional BAD TASTE wall decor. Being Mexican born and raised in this country while also knowing the stereotypes we are subjected to simply because of nationality has been a challenge. When I saw this chopurrito advertisement on their wall and I'm sitting there contributing to the success of your business while feeling insulted it is a TRIPPLE slap to the face. Not only am I a 1. Mexican contributing to your business... 2. I'm contributing to your ignorance, perpetuation of stereotypes about our people and putting down our food, while you're also 3. benefitting from traditional Mexican food ideas and ingredients.

The advertisement reads "Its mommy was a chop and its daddy was a burrito. In school, it used to get teased for displaying too many tasty, chopped veggies. But look at its former classmates now: big, greasy couch burritos who never amounted to anything. Celebrate diversity, and grow up to be strong and healthy like the Chopurrito®. You are what you eat, after all."

Dear chop stop I would really recommend doing some research or hiring a consultant before posting ignorant and offensive advertisements such as these. I can't tell you how much my blood boiled while eating next to this sign.

Let me share a few things with you to begin: In school a burrito is a kid that is not doing well in school and sometimes even considered unintelligent so don't even bring up burrito and class in a sentence unless you know what you're talking about. Also, in the Mexican language burrito can also be a person that stubbornly does not listen... basically someone who is hard headed. You use these words without any real understanding of our food, history, struggles, or language.

The real punch to the gut was this line: "But look at its former classmates now: big, greasy couch burritos who never amounted to anything"

Good job shaming our food yet benefiting from our ideas. "Couch burritos" reminds me of the stereotype that labels us Mexicans as lazy. I can guarantee that our food takes a lot of work to prepare especially when some of us actually cook and make a lot of our food from scratch as much as possible. I for one hate canned food or microwave food.

How dare you benefit from our food and culture while putting down not only our beloved traditional burrito, which by the way doesn't necessarily need to be greasy, lazy, or amount to anything.... Then act like you're being inclusive and embracing diversity. This brings to mind cultural appropriation. Cultural appropriation takes place when members of a majority group adopt cultural elements of a minority group in an exploitative, disrespectful, or stereotypical way. (Definition from britannica.com).

I don't even have to read between the lines to know how you perceive our food, culture, and people. This is so blatantly obviously stated in your wanna be cute advertising.

Your "healthier" burritos are a cultural attack and put down to our traditional burrito. You putting down our food through all those negative labels and placing your burritos on a pedestal really bothers me. Your food is no better than ours especially when you're simply a copycat. I do not personally feel embraced by this ignorant attack on our delicious food.

You are out of touch with our community. This was not carefully thought of...or was it? I kindly request that you come up with bet

My husband and I live Chop Stop and we used to visit the one in La Verne when I lived in San Dimas or when I visited my mom who still lives there but it has since gone. Then we visited the one in Upland since that is where we live by that too is now gone so this one in Rancho Cucamonga is our go to spot now and we could not be happier. We usually order online or in the app and it is ready by the time we get there. We love that you can customize the salads. We have never had a bad experience.

Dietary restrictions: I am not supposed to have cheese due to high cholesterol so I tend to customize my salad and remove the cheese and add pepperoncinis.

Came to chop stop to get a salad and they were closed? Claims to be open until 9. Went at 6:30 pm on November 27th. Thanks for wasting my time.
