Who does no craving for a wagyu hot pot during the cold winter. I ordered 6 boxes of wagyu ($29/lb)beef slice as soon I saw the owner's advertisement. The one with beautiful marble is the ad picture, of course the one I'm holding in my hand that looks like what you would feed your dog is what I got. I addressed the issue to him and told him this is fake advertisement in a nice way. He responded pretty quick and told me even he is not willing to do return nor exchange due to meat products, but willing to offer me 6 lbs of regular beef slice as settlement ($9/lb). Well, better than nothing. He stop responding to any of my text the next day when I try to arrange a time for pickup. I could go to his store or file a official complaint, but I don't want to put in so much effort for something below $200. Honestly, the food taste okay, not as bad as other review says. The issue is management. They do not have a set schedule for employees, therefore, if you go there on the day they have full staff, then you'll probably get what you order in 15-20 mins, otherwise, good luck. That's why they provide sunflower seeds on tables. Chill and wait. Servers are rude and do not speak English, I can actually deal with that because 80% of Chinese grill places are like that.Overall, the food is not too bad, I would rate a 3 star out 5 due to clean and greasy issue. Service 0. Environment 4, they do have some pretty girls sing on stage sometimes.Visit the place on your own risk, there are many more issues with this place, I only point out few that I personally dislike the most. Overs Definitely not a place nor person I would recommend my friends and family members to do business with.

The bbq food turns cold in 5 mins after delivery on tables. I never had a bad experience since I live in the united states for 7 years. And it resulted me cancel rest of the orders and decide to take a leave for other restaurants.

First time trying this place and mix feelings cause didn't know what to expect. To our surprise food was good, service they can do better but seems short of staffing. Live music and good singer. Mostly Chinese from mainland kinda of feeling, then more Cantonese and Taiwanese songs came along. It was a good experience overall and can't believe they are open till 1:30am!! Great if you enjoy 70's-80's old Chinese's karaoke feel

I honestly don't think this place cares about negative reviews. Their skewers are cheaper than the other restaurants nearby but it's not marinated nor spiced right. Little to no service at all, because their skewers aren't seasoned well, we asked for dipping power , the one mixture of different spices and crushed pepper, and even that was disappointing. They brought whole cumin and this very red but flavorless chili power. Ma La Tang has very bad ingredient choice. No lunch meat which seems pretty standard for this dish. Tofu skin Is soooo thin that you can see through it. Beef skewers is made with beef slices... how strange. I would give it a 2 star if weren't for the price, most of their skewers are about $1 each, given this time, I know it's a. Bargain. So one extra star for them. I won't return and will warn my friends not to go.....

Very unorganized business, we wait for 2 hours to just get seated. This is understandable if the people work there efficiently. They seems like they don't know what they are doing. There are 4 parties waiting, and We saw three tables without people, when we asked why they are not cleaning the table. They said the guests left to smoke outside and returned back after 30min, the other table, people went out to buy milk teas, and another table, people were playing poker cards for the entire two hours while we are waiting. All three tables were already finished eating, people were just hanging around. I don't understand during such a busy hour, why the waiters would allow that? When we finally got seated, we can't order on the app they were using because people who sit there previously didn't finish paying through the app; and the waiter refuse to help us order manually. The food is ok, but doesn't take "shengyang" as it advertised, everything is sweet to taste. Will never come here again!

My friends took me there; I do not like the food. We told the server to NOT make the food spicy but they still did anyway. And the food was too salty.

Yummy! Tasty as same as Chinese traditional style. Hopefully this restaurant could continue to serve as long as possible.

No service exists in this place, was told order will be quick, there is no order ahead of me, I expected 5-10 minutes wait, it took 20 minutes, i checked with the service lady on howm uch longer it will take, she was extremely rude, did not care what so ever..It would have been okay if she told me it will take a while, but telling me it will be quick and i ended up waiting for 30+ mins for 3 orders of bbq skews was outrageous...Please be prepared to wait for 30 mins+ if there is no one in front of you, probably get rdy to wait for over 1 hour if they are busy, i have not taste the food, but the service and wait time alone, i will definitely not come back.Good luck staying in business running it this way
