We stopped here before a concert at the Toyota Arena. The owner Alex and his wife are very kind and friendly and the food was delicious and huge portions. Prices are excellent and highly recommend this place and hoping well for the owners.

Love this small family business. Very tasty food and the carnitas are the best I ever had.Must try the Shrimp tacos, simply delicious!! You just need to try this place one time and your hooked. Is it Taco Tuesday yet? ?

We are often disappointed by the Mexican food in the area and are always trying new places to find a good one. This time we tried Tio Alex and we were pretty disappointed. We ordered a quesadilla, a carnitas torta, a wet burrito and some asada tacos. I often wonder why cheddar cheese is used in Mexican food. Oaxaca cheese would be a better option. My torta was full of cheddar cheese, overpowering the taste of las carnitas. The asada was good but somewhat salty. The portions were big, but I gave it a 2 star because our order was wrong and they charged us for a few extra things that we didn’t realize we had received until we were home (take out order). The food was pretty greasy too.Hopefully we will find a good spot in the area without trying to go to LA.

Went to the new location off 4th and Haven and ordered carne asada tacos. The rice and beans were old and very very salty. The tacos were okay but just not the quality it used to be. Disappointed since this was our go to spot for taco Tuesday's. Plus the new location is further away. Won't be coming back.

I would give this place 0 stars but i don't have that option. My employer orders food from this place. Their food is so nasty that every time we get food from here it goes directly into the trash bin. I don't know what this business is about but we know better and stay away. You're taking people's money and your food is trash!!! Stay away!!!

I don't leave a whole lot of reviews but I've been to this place five different times every time they get my order wrong and I've gotten sick twice from my wrong order. I'm not exaggerating never once got my order right. When I called and asked to talk to somebody about my order being wrong they were extremely rude even cursed at me when I asked to speak to the manager they hung up. The food is pretty bad even if they get your order right. I'll never get food poisoning I mean food here again.

I have visited this business numerous times in the past and have never had any issues with the staff. However, I recently had a horrible experience with the owner of this business. She called another local business time after time harassing employees and falsely accusing them of fraud on a very busy Saturday evening. Unfortunately, a 50% refund and reassurance of the safety of her credit card information was not enough. This business has lost quite a few customers due to this fiasco. My friends and family will no longer by dining at a business with an owner that wants to see other businesses fail. During these hard times we should be lifting each other up and empathizing with other people's situations. I wish customers of this business the best of luck and hope you have a better experience than I did.

Wanted to try a good Taco Tuesday place and this place did not disappoint!! Ordered the $6 combo plate that comes with 3 meat packed tacos and side of rice and beans. Ordered chicken, carne asada and carnitas and I recommend all 3 because they were all so flavorful and moist. Their rice was excellent too. I poured their delicious salsa over everything ! The only thing I didn't love were the beans but everything else made up for it!

Last night we decided on El Tio Alex for dinner. It was a as wise choice. Pretty much everything is cooked to order, and it shows in the freshness of the ingredients in the items offered. The Burrito Pastor was excellent, as were the Fish Tacos, Taquitos, Shrimp Tacos and even the Dirty Rice! El Tio Alex just gained a few new customers. We will definitely be back. Gracias Alex!

Giving it a 4 for the price. If it weren't this cheap I'd give it a 3. You get a ton of food and everything is huge. The meat isn't very good quality- pretty though. We had 3 different types of meat on nachos and 2 burritos. I also really don't like the sauce on the burrito (really bitter). But you get what you pay for i guess
