Elmer and Jasper's is located inside Haven City Market where there are tons of great food options but believe me, you have got to try this BBQ! I grabbed a plate with the brisket and the sides I chose were the Mac and cheese and baked beans. It came with a side of Texas toast and some bbq sauce. Brisket: pretty tender and very flavorful! The "bark" is peppery and has a bit of a kick to it. Not super spicy, but it was too much for my 4 year old. She loved the meat underneath though!Mac n cheese: This was my favorite part! I love a good Mac n cheese. This was seasoned just right, cheesy, and paired well with the brisket.Baked beans: a classic, and done right! Must have. I enjoyed dunking the bread in them too. This was a really tasty meal and the portion was generous for the price. Will definitely return!

Brought my SIL + BIL to Haven City Market to have different opinions for lunch. I was in the mood and figured I'd check this spot out. I wasn't expecting much. It's a very unassuming spot in the market. I decided to get the brisket, smoked chicken, collard greens and potato salad. I wasn't sure about the collard greens as it's typically cooked with pork so I asked the gentleman at the counter and he said it's made with turkey. Score! I was debating between the potato salad and coleslaw, but glad I chose the potato salad. OMG...my SIL and I were so impressed with rub and flavors of all the food, including the sides. The brisket and chicken were both tender and flavorful. Delicious! The collard greens were spot on and the potato salad wasn't over saturated with Mayo and had good flavor too.Wow. I was not expecting such a delicious meal from this spot. Portions are good so I had leftovers for hubby. He too said we have to go back to this place cause on his words, " so boooomb geeeeezlaweeez." We are definitely going back sooner than later! P.S. Customer service was good too. When my food was ready the gentleman behind the counter bagged our food up and met me in front of their storefront and handed me our food. 10/10 recommend!!!

I been here before and it was too early and they weren't open so I missed out. This time my sweet wife drove 1hr 30mins to get the brisket fries. She returned and 2 hours after ordering them and it was still hot and oh so good. I can only imagine eating them fresh out the kitchen. Shout out to Smoking and Grilling with AB and everyone down there. Thanks and keep making bellies fat so I won't be the one one.???

I am not exaggerating when I say the food here is blowing all of the other so called BBQ restaurants out of the water. They serve AUTHENTIC BBQ here and the service was excellent. A little pricey, but it is well worth every penny! I will definitely be returning. 5 stars for sure!

In my 47 years in LA area I have tried a lot of "recommended" BBQ places, including a national chain recently that has burnt ends that were so bad that I could not eat them. This is located in Haven City Market and this is definitely So-Cals best BBQ spot. They live up to their name.I've been coming to Haven market and have tried out about 10 spots so far and THIS is by FAR my favorite one out of the 10. I loved it so much I came back within a week to get an order of the Brisket Fries to go. The first time I came here, there was no line, it was around 1230pm on a Friday, I came with my sister in law and we ordered the Brisket Fries ($14.49) w/onions and jalapeños on the side, the Brisket Mac n Cheese Sandwich combo plate with Potato salad and Cream Corn ($23.99) + two drinks (each $2.49) = $43.46 + tax $3.37 = $46.83 (this not including tip). We ordered our food as a dine in order with Jasmine and she was so kind, very warm, and just overall great vibe. Her customer service was great! No complaints there. After we ordered our food, we sat down in front because we got lucky and there was available seating. We waited about, maybe 6-9 minutes for our food. It was fast! It was warm, Uee-gooey, just oh so delicious! I swear I felt like I was having an out of body experience. The Brisket on the sand which and fries was cooked to perfection! (Chef's kiss!) The fries were perfectly crispy in all the right spots, the cheese was perfectly melted and the jalapeño and onions I added on top to each bite just added more texture and deliciousness to each bite! The sand which - left me speechless: 100000000/10! The potato salad was so fresh, every time I took a bite it felt like I was at the park, during summer time, enjoying the nice breeze, and the sun was bathing me in a warm hug. The cream corn, WOW! I am in love with the food here and I cannot wait to try more delicious menu items that I know are just going to be a hit! I would definitely love it if they add some biscuits to the menu (just putting that out there) The second time I came was during the middle of the week at around 11:40am and ordered the Brisket fries + Pink lemonade to go ($20.85 with tip) and I felt the same way I did when I took the first bite the week before. WOW! The customer service was great! There was a gentleman behind the counter, I did not ask for the receipt so I did not get down his name but he was also with a smile and it just felt like they like working for this delicious place. The wait for my food was not long, it was maybe about 7-10 minutes and there was two gentlemen already in line when I got there. (Also I used Yelp to check out this place and it was rated 4/5. After I placed my order the first time around and used YELP to check in, YELP gave a 15% off your order coupon when you check in on the mobile app and I did not use it just because locations I show this to in the past are either reluctant about it or say it is no longer valid, etc. and I was too chicken to ask about it the 2nd time I came - maybe, if I summon the courage to, when I come back for the 3rd time, I'll ask about it and update you guys then :))5/5! You guys are amazing!

WOW! What an experience! I arrived a few minutes before 4 PM on Friday, May 26 to pick up my order. The store was closed, however, a guy was working in the back and came out to help me. He said the store had closed early because they had run out of most of their food! He was able to assist me in getting something of my order together. I received a call earlier from the gal explaining that they had run out of ribs and to come in the store to see what else they could substitute in its place. Another gal, who had finished her shift at the “Bear” Diner, showed up to assist.I can’t even give these two enough credit for their stellar customer service! They went above and beyond in making sure this last customer of the day left feeling satisfied! The food was excellent and I’ll definitely be back but it’s the customer service of these two that left me feeling HAPPY!Attention Management: Please consider some expansion plan in the near future! I believe you have outgrown this location!
