I've been here several times and always had a good experience, but this most recent visit was very sub-par. Our table's burner was much lower than usual, even at maximum gas. So all of our food took 2-3x longer to cook than usual. On top of that, the service was bad. We had to request some items 3 or more times before they finally remembered to bring them to us. And they were out of kimchi and some of our favorite meats. It was a very disappointing experience for us regular customers and we will not be returning.

What a disappointing experience. Was excited to eat at Gens again after not having it for years. Service was cold and uninviting. Meat was such low quality. Consistently had to ask for things as our waiter forgot to put them in or she did it wrong. Unsure of the processes for training, but you need to improve them asap! Red castle I’m omw!

Used to come here with my uncle for lunch. Was usually empty and we were somewhat taken care of. I never paid, so I never cared. My buddy tells me he hates Gen and I never understood why - until today.

Walked in to get a table, was told 10 to 15 minutes. Get called in 2 minutes, but the message sent to my lady wasnt clear - had to read it twice to understand my table was ready. We missed our 'reservation.' But I wasnt mad about that, because you can interpret that as we may be slow, and that's on us. But when we went back to re-enter in line, was told the same thing and we weren't called in until 30 minutes later. Completely inaccurate. Then, as we were sat at our table, we didnt even see the waiter for an entire 10 minutes. No drinks, nothing. When we finally ordered - the food came first, and we didnt get any drinks for another 10 minutes. Our waiter must have either left mid shift or something, because we ended up with a different waitress later as she walked up to a table with no food or drinks after we ate our first round. Wasnt until halfway through cooking it that we got our sauce tray (or whatever you call it). When the waitress changed, she gave us food we didn't ask for. I she then gave us what we did ask for and tried to give us something else on top of it (perhaps as an apology, idk), which was nice, actually. I gave no tip not because the waiter/waitress sucked - I saw that the place was packed and they were diligently serving the staff. I gave no tip because I want to encourage your staff to work at a much finer establishment where they will actually recieve a tip because their management cant possibly be worse than this place. I suppose now I understand why I always went to U-Grill (which has more options, same relative price, and has insanely better service).

My daughter goes all the time, but this was my first time. It didn't disappoint! Food was delicious. My favorites were the dumplings, teriyaki pork chops, and beef bulgogi.

Came here with my spouse to have dinner ordered drinks receive the drink drinks and waited 45 minutes for food to come out server never came out and delivered food went to the front desk to pay for drinks and leave manager and surfing. Staff charged me $100 for a $20 bill then told me that I would have to wait 3 to 5 business days to get my money back due to their negligence. Staff did not seem very concerned with their mistakes or their inconvenience to me.

I've been calling and leaving messages for 3 days. No one answers the phone and no one calls you back. It's maddening.

The food is average. You can tell you're in a chain restaurant. I've been to much better stand alone Korean restaurants. I wouldn't go back.

We were really disappointed compared to other locations. Ladies restroom was atrocious and it being only 130pm, no reason for the lack of toilet paper in the ladies restroom. We were warning each other as there was a line, and we were taking paper towels in the stalls with us. Out of soap, the handle was coming off in my hand from the faucet. We were put in a room that looked like a poorly transformed addition to the dining room. No air conditioning on. 90+ degree summer day, just 2 fans, wall was damaged(we could see drywall), we were sat at a dirty table. Food was okay. Their saving grace was our server, Jio, who although he was alone, bussing and serving several tables, he was courteous, professional, and efficient. He made it tolerable. Thank you, Jio! He's a keeper! Otherwise, truly disappointed.

This restaurant was a confusing mix of cultures, featuring items like carne asada and pollo on a Korean BBQ menu. The food quality was a major letdown, falling far short of what I've come to expect from Korean BBQ restaurants. The service was frustratingly poor. Our server was consistently absent, leaving our grill unattended and smoking, forcing us to flag down other staff for assistance. This establishment seems confused about its identity, and I can't recommend it to anyone who appreciates a genuine Korean BBQ experience.
