This is the best Korean food I've ever tasted!! Don't let the aesthetics get to you if you want to eat the best Korean food! Make sure to get their seafood tofu soup - it's the best! They used to give complimentary pancake before COVID, and it's so goooooood... especially when you dip in the sauce that comes with it. It's on the menu, so make sure to try the pancake as an appetizer. The sides are the best sides I've ever had anywhere. Although it is a bit pricey, BUT it's so worth it. Their hours are different, so I recommend calling first. Lastly, you have to drink the complimentary tea they provide. I am not over exaggerating about how aaaaamazing the food they serve here. You just need to try it for yourself ?

Incredibly delicious food every time i order for pickup or come here! This is my favorite restaurant for authentic korean food in the area. They are very generous with portion sizes and the side dishes, so the price is worth it. I am a big fan of the mul-naengmyeon here too.
I'm writing this in my car because I had to leave, if you are not Korean I believe you will be treated exactly how I just was. First and foremost, the tofu soup is 16.50, and the 7.99 gimbap that with 7.75% of tax is 26 and some change, I was charged 28.75? Anyways I came in with a smile, immediately was greated with a blank look okay cool that's just how this person is, looking over the menu no help I've never been here, okay whatever I'll do it myself. I sit down at a table, customers come in and immediately greats them warmly,, they get help with the menu,, told that "white people" just come here to eat and that's it, but with his own people they understand good food, or something along those lines, after that I couldn't even take a bite in this establishment, I think he noticed my attitude change because I asked for to go asap and then he was "trying" to be kind letting me know how soon to eat my roll,, stop it, would highly avoid.

Authentic Korean flavors! I travel a lot for work and took a chance ordering the Galbi and Japchae through doordash as this was the only restaurant that seemed to have true Korean dishes. Both dishes did not disappoint! The Galbi was cooked perfectly and full of flavor!! The Japchae was equally great and the flavor set in well to the noodles. This restaurant also provides a good variety of sides. Growing up with a Korean aunt who loved to cook its hard to find good Korean food that is comparable but this restaurant is it! If you are looking for authentic Korean food do not hesitate and check this place out!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had the pleasure of dining at MaDangGol, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped in, the authenticity was palpable. The fact that everyone else entering the restaurant was Korean spoke volumes about its genuine Korean flavors. The strip mall location might be unassuming, but don't be fooled – this is where culinary magic happens. The standout dish for me was the Bulgogi, which we shared as a family. The meat was tender, flavorful, and came with a side of perfectly cooked rice. The Mul Naeng Myung was a refreshing surprise, ideal for a hot day. Despite the simple plastic cups for panchan, the flavors were anything but simple – a true testament to the chef's expertise. The owner's insistence on no tipping, along with the laid-back, traditional vibe of the place, added a unique touch to the experience. MaDangGol is a hidden gem that offers an authentic Korean dining adventure, and I can't wait to return for another culinary journey.
Vegetarian options: Korean restaurants have lots of vegetable options.
Parking: Typical Californian strip mall cluster. Lots of parking.

First and foremost, the food is ridiculously tasty. I am a fan of Korean bbq and this place ranks amongst the best. Their focus and efforts very clearly go solely towards the food. The atmosphere is not geared towards dine-in and there isn’t much service, but that’s okay because they strongly promote No tipping so I actually prefer the set up. Ultimately if you want amazing Korean BBQ go here, if you want to a place with top class service and atmosphere go elsewhere.

It may not be a large restaurant but the food is awesome. As a retired military, I was lucky enough to travel the world. One of my favorite Korean dishes is Spicy Squid. Had to travel to West Covina just to get it and it was okay. Now that I know there is a place closer to home and it's like I remember, so happy. Make this place one of your stops, main dishes are big and the side dishes like the pickled vegtables and kimchi so good. Try it you won't be disappointed.

This was my first time here. It is a very small restaurant. About 5-6 tables of four. Not good for large groups. The food is very good. The tofu soup is spicy at mild level, not super spicy though; enough for it to be enjoyable. The bugolgi is tasty and soft. The kalbi is good as well. For two people, I would recommend ordering a dinner-sized meat and then ordering a tofu soup to share, less than $40.They don't charge tip and it is self-service. No table service because they do not have a wait staff. You order at the register, pay, and they bring the food to you. You grab your own water or tea at the fill station. You throw away your trash in the trash cans. They use paper plates and take out bowls/trays. Or you can pay $2 upcharge to have them serve it to you in the traditional clay pots.FYI, they are heavily accented and so it may be a challenge to understand them but they try. And don't take their tone for rudeness. If you go there during a rush, it may be quite a wait because there isn't much of a staff. Be patient. It's worth it.

I've never seen a bigger collection of stuck-up Koreans in my life. I called to get a reservation for 10 and they moaned and complained that they don't have the space. I've been there before these owners. There's plenty of room, they just don't want to be bothered to push a few tables together.
That was so so good!!! And say: tips are not required
