So good! High price but the lunch specials are amazing. Worth it even outside of it! Fresh, good, great service and staff. Get the korean chicken and kimchi too! Going to come back and try their menu.

I’ve tried pretty much all the ramen over the past year, and honestly, my top three favorites are Tonkotsu, Spicy Beef, and Shrimp. Sometimes I go for Chicken or Veggie when I’m craving something comforting, and Bimbimen (#9) is my go-to when I’m not in the mood for soup. I always enjoy my ramen spicy—it’s the perfect level of heat. Not too spicy, so I can still fully enjoy the flavors, but enough to give a nice kick.

For sides, spicy edamame, calamari, and gyoza are a must. Takoyaki and egg rolls are also a hit.

And you definitely can’t skip their in-house drinks. I honestly think they have the best Thai tea in town—it tastes just like the ones I had in Thailand. The strawberry lemonade and yuzunade are super refreshing too. They also have a Double Matcha that’s really good, but I usually save it for after the meal so I can fully enjoy all the food first.

The place is always clean and comfortable, including the restroom, which is well maintained. It’s a great spot whether you’re dining alone or spending time with friends and family. The servers are attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive, which really makes the whole experience even better.

I'm visiting this area of Rancho and want to walk to eat out so this popped up within the radius.
I went to website and read a story about founder and thought, hey I'll check it out.
Reading reviews there were some negatives and positives.
Well I can say that when I arrived, I was able to sit and served within a moment.
I was able to make my order a few minutes later and in a timely fashion the food arrived
I had thought I had ordered the ramen dish and when I asked, she was happy to swap out the dish.
The broth was refreshing and spicy
The noodles although not homemade were perfectly cooked
The meat was tender.

Its a well kept clean place.
Even the bathroom is clean! 😂

Enjoy

Delicious Ramen. Small place and they have a great hard working waitress. The food is worth a little extra wait.

Very slow service. The “Japanese” fries taste like frozen Rally’s fries you’d find at Costco and left an oily coating in my mouth. They are supposed to have a furikake seasoning on them. The ramen broth was barely luke warm and was cold by my third bite. Probably because it sat for too long. Ramen should be served in less than 10 minutes. All that is required is to put the noods in a bowl, add the ingredients and pour the broth. It took at least 20 minutes for our order to arrive. The flavor of the broth was reminiscent of a Top Ramen packet and the noodles did not taste fresh at all. So far, my least favorite ramen shop I’ve ever visited.

Our visit to Ramen Matsua was pretty disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t busy, yet it took a while for someone to take our order, and even longer for the food to arrive. When the ramen finally came out, the broth wasn’t even hot, it felt like it had been sitting out. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen (#1), but instead of the typical chashu pork, it came with an unusually thick slice of pork. They did offer us a complimentary order of “Japanese French Fries,” which was a nice gesture, but they tasted just like Rally’s fries—not what I’d expect. We’ve had Japanese fries sprinkled with furikake before, so this was a letdown. We ended up leaving after just a few bites.

Good happy hour specials

Came here on a Monday afternoon and had ramen, takoyaki, and Sapporo. The broth was creamy but needed a bit more depth, the takoyaki were tasty but quite small on the plate, the beer was presented quite beautifully.

Enjoyed my meal here and would come again

You can’t miss this deal!
A $12 ramen and side dishes under $5 — that’s hard to beat. The refreshing draft beer pairs perfectly with the sides, and you can enjoy both for under $10. Even the drinks alone are worth coming back for.
Relax and enjoy it freely on the patio — it’s the perfect spot to unwind.

The tonkotsu ramen was underwhelming — the broth lacked depth, the pork had an unexpected sweetness, and the addition of spinach felt out of place. The appetizers, however, were excellent; the pan-fried gyozas were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuine. The restaurant itself is a small spot in a street mall, offering a cozy, neighborhood atmosphere that adds to its charm.

This was the best and cleanest-tasting ramen I’ve ever had. We also tried several side dishes, and they were all excellent. Even my child, who usually doesn’t eat much, said it was delicious and finished the meal. We’ll definitely be coming back often. Highly recommended!
