I really like the atmosphere here😄
Great atmosphere. Sat at the bar. Tender was very attentive. Ordered the Korean Ribeye bibimbap. It was quite good. Possibly better choices for me but still pretty good.
Great food services and staff
We stopped here last Sunday after several days at the hospital with my dad. Our waiter, Zach, was very attentive on a busy Sunday. We chatted a bit about our stay and what was going on. Unbeknownst to us, he had seen the emotional toll on our faces (mine was leaking out of my eyes) and went to management with a request to do something special for us. When it came time for the bill he told us the entree’s were on the restaurant. Even without this unexpected gesture, this young man was so caring and compassionate, and this company certainly listens to its servers, that we would go back for these reasons alone. Add in the cozy atmosphere and excellent food and we would give this location 6 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on a five star scale. Zach, young people like you give us hope for the future. Wishing you many blessings.
Called to ask about military discount, was on hold for 10 minutes. Spoke to a female, was transferred to male, put on hold, then spoke to Carly then Jessica the manager. My friend called on his phone was on hold for 6 minutes spoke to Tina then was transferred to someone who said yes they have a military discount. I would like to add it’s 10%
There is a lot of stuff on the menu so you should have no problem finding something you may like. The service was great. The bison meatloaf was listed on the menu as a favorite, so I tried it. It was not good. It looked and tasted like it was the end of the pan for the night. Besides that I would return and try something else.
The only reason why I love lazy dog is because they are sooo dog friendly, the vibe is cool and the outdoor patio is absolutely decked out. Unfortunately, my fur babies are no longer around but the place still offers really good food. Arrived on a rainy Friday evening around 530pm, the place was packed but thankfully the wait was less than 15mins. Sat near the bar in a comfortable booth, our server Adrian was fast and attentive. I avoid meat on Fridays and enjoy a pescatarian or veggie dish Ordered Western Burger – BBQ Veggie Burger, made with black beans, ancient grains+beets, vegetables, topped with roasted garlic, house made BBQ sauce, jack cheese, fried onions, pickle, tomato. 5/5 Fish and chips – Beer battered Fish and Chips, Pale ale battered, served with tartar sauce, creamy apple cider coleslaw and fries 5/5 The check took a cool min(15 mins to be exact), the server was down; we had to ask 3 different people but I think they should have ensured the wireless pay controller had worked prior to giving it to us (maybe waited till it was finalized?) and if it didn’t work than we should have gotten a paper receipt. (Reason for missing a 1.5 star)
It may look like your average chain restaurant, but Lazy Dog in Rancho is anything but! Lazy Dog has an interesting menu and a cozy environment, but what sets it apart is the Rancho LD's attention to the small things that most locations forget. I'll explain. The restaurant was filling up (it was around 7:00 pm on Friday night) but we were greeted immediately (with a smile) by a friendly host and soon seated at a table in the bar area. We were then pleasantly greeted by our server, Ashley. We quizzed (and debated!) Ashley about the different beers offered and on her well reasoned recommendations we ordered two IPA's, Liquid Blanket and Huckleberry Haze. The suggested beers were excellent choices, but our server's knowledge of their beer offerings was the impressive part! Our beers were delivered by the store manager, Caroline, who indulged us by thoughtfully explaining some of the menu items. She was so confident in their Goat Cheese w/Pepper Jelly appetizer that she offered to take it off the bill if we didn't love it! That's a lot of confidence for a chain restaurant! Needless to say the Goat Cheese w/Pepper Jelly was outstanding. A generous portion of goat cheese is mounded in the center of a perfectly seasoned hatch chili sauce and served with garlicky parmesan chips. We will be returning to have this item again (and probably again!). Caroline swung by just as the appetizer was delivered and true to her word, again just as we finished the last bite. Did I mention the restaurant was BUSY, yet the manager, Caroline, was able to come to our table not once, not twice but three times? Caroline had mentioned some newer menu items so we decided to take a look. On Ashley's recommendation I ordered a Mediterranean Chicken bowl and my friend ordered the Grilled Lemon Chicken. Both were delivered about 2-3 minutes after we finished our Goat Cheese appetizer (perfect timing). My Mediterranean bowl was a mix of lemon chicken, rice and tomato/cucumber/feta/kalamata olives in a Tzatziki yogurt sauce. The chicken tasted freshly grilled, not reheated and the sauce had just the right amount of garlic, lemon and salt. The flavors worked really well. My friend is forever raving about the "almost" mashed potatoes accompanying her Lemon Chicken. When we settled up the bill, we both felt as though we had experienced a much high price point restaurant and definitely not a chain! Our server (Ashley) took her time at our table and the manager (Caroline) showed genuine interest in our expectations being exceeded. And they were! Sorry this was long. It's rare to be treated so well at a chain restaurant .. but Lazy Dog in Rancho is doing a lot of things right and may just dispel that thought!!
Despite its canine references, this is a great, relaxing place for humans, with a thoughtful menu offering familiar items but with above-average preparation.
A nice local family restaurant. Very noisy, but the outside terrace is nice. The menu was extensive from burgers to Thai salads and the prices were reasonable considering this was california
Restaurantji Recommends
Cody J. is undoubtedly the best server my wife and I have had at any restaurant in YEARS. I've been coming to this location for about a decade and I have never felt particularly compelled to leave a review until this experience. Give him a raise and I won't even take a percentage for brokering the deal. He deserves it all.
Went for lunch. We had the club sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich with the most crispy and delicious french fries. Very large sandwiches. Only negative the sour dough bread on the club was very hard and difficult to bite. Recommend its not toasted. Will definitely go back for another meal.
This is a good place for dinner. A decent selection of beers. I enjoyed there house red ale. The sandwich I ordered was great as was the wait staff
went there with a large group we waited for 3 hours to be seated after 3 hours they finally sat us down in a tent that had been empty outside all along the Manager was a j*** did not apologize did not want to wait on that many people so she deliberately made it hard for us finally after sitting in this tent we all got up and left will never come back I always read reviews my entire family will be writing one about this episode
Clean, fun sports pub! I had the BBQ ranch bacon burger without cheese and Cajun fries with the happy hour house whiskey. The BBQ ranch was amazing. Will be back!
