Food was good but it takes quite some time to come out, I will probably come back to give it another try and see if I can get a higher rating.

The sushi was fresh and the portions were great. The appetizers were so nicely decorated and the waiters were extremely kind and explained everything to us.
The signature Sagetumi cocktail paired really well with the sushi taste too. Overall, Sagetumi was great and was a nice restaurant to eat and gather with friends .

Sushi is still very tasty. Just not a fan of the price increase. (Naturally)

Came here for the first time and we were thoroughly impressed. The management gave us some recommendations for new menu items. My favorite was the oyster set, they were super juicy and sprinkled with masago eggs. This went very well with this Golden Yuzu house cocktail, which I've never seen anywhere else. We also had a variety of sashimi and sushi items, all of them tasted delicious and fresh. They even gave us a free sample of their grilled salmon. I usually don't order grilled salmon because they always feel too heavy and fishy but amazingly it wasn't at all. I actually finished the dish and was left wanting for more. I also want to note that the management and servers are all very kind and made us feel very welcoming.
They seem to be trying new menu items. The owner was going around giving free samples of some house special drinks. The kiwi soju was the best for me. And I will definitely be back to try their uni pasta.
They have many many items with a 30% to 50% discount. Can't wait to try more of them.

My husband and I experienced blatant racism by the manager
We went in to pick up our food that we typically always order for pick up but decided that we were really hungry and wanted to just sit down and eat there.
The hostess sat us, brought our to go food. We order drinks and she came back saying sorry the manager said we weren’t allowed to sit down.
We asked to speak to him and he came to the table and doubled down that we were not allowed to dine in because we ordered to go.
Mind you there were several open tables, the bar was completely empty and no other patrons waiting to be seated.
This was my first attempt ever to sit down and eat so I was very shocked because I have given that place my business for a couple years now. But not anymore.
For further context my husband and I are black and we were the only black people in the restaurant at the time.
Felt rather ridiculous to kick us out after we were seated and ordered additional items. So for me that’s a blatant attempt at racism. Needless to say we left everything there and left since we hadn’t paid for anything yet anyway.
Worst and humiliating experience of my life. They will never again see a dime out of me.

Years ago i used to love coming here, however every visit for the past 2 years ive had really bad service. Used to be 50% which was great! Now its 30% off and they raised the prices so many times. Pretty much paying full price at this point. So sad..

It's a little loud here. Maybe some people like that. It didn't seem like there were enough servers. We had asked for soy paper on our rolls, and apparently they forgot. The wait for the food was a lot longer. My husband's soup was cold, not even lukewarm and teriyaki chicken was cold as well. I had ramen soup and it was ok. It wasn't spicy like she said which was good. I wasn't wow'd by it.

This is the only sushi place in rancho that i enjoy going to. I really like the specials and how it is a must-have when you want sushi in rancho. I like the atmosphere and welcome when you walk in through the doors. I would definitely come back.
