I arrived with my mother, it's been on her list of places to try out. Since neither of us had ever been there before we decided to go big as in dinner and a show. That's right, we watched them cook the food infront of us. We sat in between a few people celebrating a birthday and an lovely couple celebrating their anniversary (this is important make note)
The food honestly was just okay, I wasn't particularly vibing with the mango lemonade and the teriyaki chicken was goodish. My mother also thought the food was just okay. The service was awesome! The price wasn't not. Our total was around $140.00 definitely did not think it would cost that. It makes sense why the people we were sat next to were both celebrating something. All in it was an okay experience, shogun is definitely a come with intention type of restaurant. The intention being spending money. I did like their array of deserts, they had matcha ice cream, which is one of my favorites :)

First time experiencing Shogun, we were not impressed with the food. The chef added salt to everything, it was way too much. Secondly, the fried rice was too soggy from the soy sauce, it was bad. I don’t understand why so many people flock to that restaurant, it’s all show. The entire meal was lacking genuine taste. We will not be returning.

Nice people. Great atmosphere and all staff friendly. Got a few sushi rolls that were very good avocado on it was so fresh and delicious. The fried rice was extra and it was so burnt and had way too much soy sauce for my taste ( the soy sauce thing may just be my preference). The worst thing though was my lobster was absolutely covered in salt. I didn’t see him salt it so I think it may have just been on the grill but the lobster was so bad it was inedible. Everything from the grill had so much oil I really did not enjoy any of it. I know you need a lot for this kind of cooking but I have been to many tepan grills and this was just a lot of oil. I was so happy after my sushi and the main meal was a letdown for me.

The service is what, in my opinion, makes this place O.K.
But i wont be coming back.
My total bill was $160 for 2 people, drinks appetizers and entree.
The atmosphere was decent, a bit dark.
My biggest issue is the Food! It was disgusting.
My girl ordered the Genji, and i ordered the shrimp noodles.
Her lobster was so salty, it wasnt very edible, please note, our cook didnt salt any of the food.
Onto my dish, I have no idea who their head chef is, but putting CINNAMON in a shrimp NOODLE dish... is not it. Disgusting. I returned it, and had them bring me one of their rolls, which was also, mediocre. I cant recommend this place.
I will say, the ahi carpaccio was really good. But not enough to make me want to come back.

This has got to be the worst Shogun restaurant out there. I've been to several, Pasadena, Pomona, was even planning to take family to the one near Palm Desert. I think my days of paying $300 a meal (for four people) at Shoguns will cease with what happened this evening. Order the sumo cut ribeye medium rare, got a 1/4 inch steak well done. The only sumo about this steak was the amount of fat and gristle. The server asked if there were any birthdays, yes my kid's. Never brought the ice cream, no birthday hat, no singing that all the other restaurants do. And to top it off the server actually asked us hand our plate to her over the grill as we finished!!?? In essence, we bussed our own plate. Worst birthday dinner ever. With the prices they charge I expect more. I doubt I'll go to another Shoguns again, know I will never go to this one.

Parking: The food was good, and the service was Soso. There was a number of people in line to get in. Bit more expensive than another similar restaurant.

Price point is fair, service is good, showmanship was fantastic, quality of the food was good. Our party ordered the New York strip with collosal shrimp, fried rice with chicken, baked muscles, sashimi sandwich sushi, and Fuji apple hot sake. For the price point, the New York strip steak with collosal shrimp is fair, the steak did not possess high marbalization and was tough to chew, the shrimp tasted fresh along with the vegetables. I recommend this restaurant to friends and family alike as the ambience is friendly and the entertainment is fantastic.

First time here staff is lazy. Don't provide an experience like any other hibachi out there.

Food is delicious! Well seasoned no matter which entree you choose. I recommend substituting fried rice for the white rice.

Restaurant was busy so service on sushi and drink refills were not as timely.

Expect the noise level to be high which makes it challenging to have a conversation with friends and family. During busy times, staff appeared to be overwhelmed. Otherwise, family friendly and enjoyable for kids.

We all became very sick after eating there last night. Food was over salted and did not taste good. Will not ever go back there.

The worst meal I've had in a long time. The chicken was gummy the sauce was thick and tasteless the rice overcooked and shrimp was tough and chewy.
It's too bad it was my favorite place and now I'm left with 0 options for good Chinese.

Came here for my uncle's 80th birthday. First time in my life eating Japanese food. Wish I had a larger appetite to try more food but I guess that means I'll have to keep coming back when I'm in town to try everything that looked and smelled so delicious.

I’ve been going here since it’s been open as it’s a bit closer than the Laverne location. I’ve never posted but just had a bad experience and won’t be coming back to this location.

A chef named Chava served us yesterday. There were three parties at the table, one 4 person Hispanic family and two parties of two who werent Hispanic.

Chava gave all of the extra rice and goodies to the Hispanic father and son, who were too busy arguing about the son watching porn and getting caught to even enjoy themselves.

I got MAYBE 1/2 of the amount of vegetables as the Hispanic father and it was almost all onions, 3 small pieces of zucchini while the Hispanic father was sitting with a mound of all the good stuff from the Hispanic chef. The other couple, who were also non Hispanic minorities didn’t get very much either.

Like I said, I’ve been going there forever and tip really well. In my life I’ve given a $0 tip twice…Chava got nothing and I’m sorry to the waitress who was really nice for this clown ruining it for you.

At the end of the day, do what you like…I hope that family tipped well Chava.
