Staff there is so unprofessional and they all look like they want you out as soon as possible, i ordered the spicy edamame as an appetizer and came out after the food, as well as everytime they dropped food off at our take they would just toss it and leave, literally toss its, ramen broth has no flavor tastes like water.

We had to wait for almost two hours; the staff just stood around doing nothing at the cash register, and they were incredibly slow, instead of trying to clean up and improve the service. Instead of working, they spent their time laughing among themselves. Truly terrible service!

Ramen is so mid I wasted my calories here. Broth was made with no love and soup was not flavorful. Noodles were ok but the chicken topping was also not flavorful. Restaurant is small and service was ok nothing that stood out. Tried once won’t be returning. $31 for ramen + karage. Thanks but no thanks.
PS. My belly was churning after this meal and I had diarrhea 2 hours later.

This was my first time trying Silverlake Ramen, and unfortunately my experience at the Victoria Gardens location was extremely disappointing and far from what I expected.

I waited almost an hour just to be seated. After I finally placed my order, I stepped away briefly to use the restroom. When I came back, another party had been seated at my table without any communication from my servers, and I was told I needed to wait again for another table even though my food had already been ordered.

The restaurant was clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. Multiple tables, including mine, had dirty bowls and dishes sitting untouched for long periods of time. The dining room felt cluttered, disorganized, and neglected, and it was obvious the team couldn’t keep up with the guest volume or basic cleanliness.

What stood out most was that my actual servers barely paid attention, and the only person who stepped in to help me wasn’t even assigned to my table. Her name was Asima.
She was constantly moving, helping other guests, checking in on tables, and doing everything she possibly could despite being overwhelmed by the workload. She did not have to help me, but she did, and she deserves real recognition and respect for her professionalism.

As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I understand what a busy shift looks like, but this was not just “busy.” This was a breakdown in staffing, training, and leadership. The frontline employees, especially Asima, are doing their best, but they are not being supported by proper management.

I genuinely hope corporate steps in to address the issues at this location, because the brand, and hardworking employees like Asima, deserve better than what is happening here.

Interesting that there are so many comments about the inferior/rude service at this location but the company has never responded to a single one? I am here to say that we have been to many Silverlake locations because the food is excellent. However, we will never eat at this location again. The service from the kitchen to the front desk to the servers- unbelievably rude. Not an ounce of customer service happening at the VG store. It’s a shame that the company doesn’t care more about fixing this issue, as looking at reviews online, it seems like it’s been since they opened. Whoever the manager is that does the hiring here should be fired either for a lack of training their employees or choosing the most entitled staff I have ever experienced.

I have been here around 6 or 7 times and every time has been the best. Last time I went here there were around 6 to 7 staff working to make the food which mqde the food really quick. I got about 6 or 7 peices of chicken, ramen with around 6 to 7 peices of tofu, and I can never remember if the gyoza was 6$ or 7$. All in all it was still a good place to eat and if I could I would give it around 6.7 stars but sadly google only lets my put 5 stars :(.

(Sorry for all the 67 stuff but you guys are accually the best. Thank you :) )

Karissa was a breath of fresh air and a cheerful spirit. AI can replace servers if servers were simply people who took orders. Karissa was different, she explained the menu and exuded positive energy for my girlfriend and I. Eating food is one thing, excellent service is another. I hope Karissa is treated well here because it truly seems like she treats this place with great pride. Fantastic ramen, great service, and a fun location. Check out SilverLake Ramen here! Please note, I come from a fine dining background, so this tiny thing may not mean a lot to most, but this service should be standard across restaurants where tip culture exists.

I was so excited to try this place, I came on a Sunday and they told me I needed to put my name on A waiting list, so I did. Mean while I went for a walk, I received a message from silver lake ramen 28 minutes later saying I had 10 minutes to get back to the restaurant, I immediately started walking back to the restaurant, I got there 11 minutes later 1 minute “late” and the teenage girl at the cashier with a nasty attitude told me I took to long and I had missed my place in line. By one minute ? What a JOKE!!!! This place is being ran by a bunch of immature unprofessional teenagers ! I definitely do t recommend it,
If you are looking for a good experience this isn’t the place for you

Instead, I recommend you go to Ramen Masuta !!
It’s delicious, and it’s less than a mile away !!

We love Ramens, and remembered that VG had a Ramen restaurant. Came in around 5 pm on a Saturday, a bit busy at that time. We order 2 Garlic Truffle both with Tofu and another one with pork. One classic Ramen. Weird that when we got served with the Garlic Truffle, one of the three had no garlic truffle that i had to ask for the sauce so I can add it myself.

You would think have 3 orders of it would have same consistency and checked before being served. but one had the missing garlic truffle. The noodle was a mushy and stuck together that it was hard to chew into it.

The chicken kaarage was about what you would expect but definitely disappointed with the Ramens we ordered.

DO NOT EAT here unless u want to ruin your mood with RUDE service!!!!!

male server was rude.. the ladies were okay .he handed the karaage bowl during dine when it was ordered as to go.. the order was given to the female server and he handed the order to us. we asked him that it was to go ...

He was rude and even said in a sarcastic way that she wants it go. When he came back, the order was supposed to be to-go to begin with. He replied sarcastically (rude tone and facial expression)that I did not take the order bla bla..

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!

Really disappointing experience. The noodles were mushy, clumped together, and clearly overcooked. We didn’t receive any eggs, which are usually a staple in ramen, and the chicken pieces tasted like frozen pre-cooked meat with a rubbery texture. The broth itself had decent flavor, but it couldn’t make up for the poor quality of the noodles and toppings. For the price and reputation, this was definitely not worth it.
