A Refined Sushi Experience in the Heart of Rancho Cucamonga
Tucked unassumingly along Foothill Boulevard, Sushi Area 909 delivers a dining experience that far exceeds expectations. The atmosphere is understated yet welcoming, allowing the food to take center stage. From the moment you're seated, the service is attentive and sincere—prompt without ever feeling rushed.
The menu, while familiar in its offerings, is executed with precision and finesse. The Spicy Tuna Roll offers a perfect balance of heat and umami, with the tuna finely chopped and impeccably fresh. The Yellowtail Roll is delicate and buttery, its flavor lifted by just the right touch of citrus. Perhaps most surprising is the Eel and Cucumber Roll, where the rich, caramelized eel is complemented beautifully by the refreshing crunch of cucumber—a textural harmony that lingers.
What truly elevates the experience is the evident craftsmanship of the sushi chef, Frank, whose knife work and plating reflect both discipline and artistry. Each piece is a study in balance and restraint—a hallmark of traditional sushi philosophy.
Sushi Area 909 is a quiet standout in the Inland Empire, and a reminder that true culinary excellence is not bound by zip codes. This is a restaurant that treats sushi not as trend, but as tradition—with reverence, precision, and soul.

Enjoyed the sushi here very much. Disappointing there was no toro but he has a huge variety of rolls. I especially liked the monkey brain roll. A mushroom top with tuna added and then deep fried. What a great flavor that was and in 35 years of sushi dinning I never saw or tasted anything like this. I would return just for that roll but everything else was worth returning for also. Excellent service and reasonable price.

Best place in Rancho Cucamonga for sure. Place might close, but they close till 9pm. Definitely a place you have to try. The house special roll is definitely my favorite. They have happy hour 4 to 5pm. Prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious.

Greeted immediately with lots of hospitality and warmth. Ambiance was great with worship music and a great movie playing. Restaurant was clean and location perfectly near other competing asian food options, groceries and gym. Prices were perfect for my small pockets. My hot green tea was almost limitless. My miso pork ramen was delicious. Definitely coming back to try the salads on their menu.

My husband and I love this place. Sushi is good with decent portions. The service here is good and they always accommodate any special requests we have with our sushi rolls. It’s few and far between sushi restaurants that will do that for you. I recommend this place! ?

Guys, there are no complaints about the speed of order execution and the quality of food, everything is excellent. But one small jar of sauce and wasabi for 5 servings of rolls and no chopsticks, why is that so?

Diving into this sushi spot was like hitting the flavor jackpot, especially if you're a fan of garlic. Their garlic overload roll was a solid 8/10—packed with enough punch to ward off vampires and win over garlic lovers alike. And the Philly roll? It's a classic done right, the kind you'd recommend to anyone who wants a safe yet delicious bet.The real pearl of the evening, though, was our server. She brought such a fun and caring vibe to our table, it was contagious. Her sincere personality sparkled brighter than the wasabi, making us feel right at home. You can tell she's just going to keep getting better at what she does. Overall, I’d give this place a well-deserved 4.5 stars. If you’re in the mood for some tasty sushi and even tastier service, this is your go-to spot.

Number 1 in Shusi
I've had sushi at some of the most expensive places all over the US. Sushi Area is in my top 5. The smoked salmon is off the charts. The owner "Moon" is an excellent chef and "Frank" is equally as talented.

Never ordering from here again. Food arrived beyond lukewarm. Ordered baked beef teriyaki roll and tempura roll and the meat was dry and cold. Never again! Not worth the price! $50 down the drain ??
