The food was great! It seems to be a pretty popular place. A few people sat outside and just ordered drinks and appetizers, which I might do next time. The only negative was that the service was extremely slow. However, I feel that they were understaffed or just short-staffed that evening. Our waiter was hustling back and forth from inside to outside (we were outside) and was doing his best. It took a while to get refills on drinks, but the food came pretty quickly.

The appetizer and chicken sandwiches were very good however the burgers were not cooked correctly and the service so bad we did not have the opportunity to send them back and went uneaten. We were given water when first seated but never got to order alcohol (which saved us money so I guess we shouldn't complain). We were there to celebrate my son's birthday and in lieu of bringing a cake we thought we'd order dessert there but was never asked. The server never checked...

The State is that spot if you're looking for good vibes, great food, and a little people-watching on the side. The bar seating outside is hands down the best seat in the house perfect for soaking up the Victoria gardens energy, sipping something strong, and catching all the street-style moments.

Burgers…very flavorful, and Pair it with their crispy fries and a cocktail, and baby, you're golden.
