Food was great. Service was alright; lots of people training on operations but the overall vibe from Old Babes was missing. Super disappointed with the seating. Everything is way too tight on the inside.
Just as good as the old place was in Rancho Mirage, but closer to our home. Win Win. They are going to need much more seating, particularly when summer arrives in the desert. Misters and shade can't beat 110 degrees in Indio.
The brand new Babes is quite good overall, with a nice variety of BBQ offerings. There are several different seating options with indoors and on two patios. We enjoyed the Pulled Pork salad and Brisket sandwich.
Has some of the best & freshest brisket. Dined outside at night and enjoyed their heaters and patio lighting. Such a nice vibe!
Indoor seating is limited and tight. Outdoor seating has misters and shade but we were coming in off the golf course and wanted AC. Food is delicious, service was friendly.
We were really looking forward to Babe's reopening in the new location. The service was excellent-friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. I had the brisket, with summer slaw and their delicious yam. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Our friend had the chicken tamale. We sat indoors. The ambience is great. Nice big screen tv above the bar. We'll definitely be back!
Got seated quickly. Waiter greated us within 30 seconds. Ordered ND had food within 4 minutes. Was DELICIOUS. So glad they are back in the area!! Sat right next to two of the pigs...was fun night!
We were hoping they would have stepped the food offerings and quality as well as the decor up a notch in this new location. Instead, everything was pretty pedestrian. Disappointed because it could have been a nice alternative to the more upscale offerings in this location.
Thank you for making us feel comfortable and welcome. Looking forward to enjoying the other delicious varieties on your menu. Enjoyed baby back ribs, coleslaw, and yam. Brisket, Beans and Sausage. All presented well and delicious. Nice wine to enjoy meal with. Lemon pie scrumptious. Happy to have Babes in the neighborhood!!
The cornbread was scrumptious.

My husband and I went with my Grandson and his fiancé. It was a great time especially because the ribs are the best!!! The waiter was exceptional, keeping us laughing and enjoying the food!!!
They're closing this location in a week and they act like they don't care about current customers. Understaffed and overworked, the waiters/waitresses are doing the best they can. Food quality is less than it was. The brisket sandwich was so fatty, it was barely edible. Yam was so cold it wouldn't melt the butter. Looking forward to seeing what might come next to replace them. Maybe someplace with good food. I definitely don't plan on visiting Babes at the their new location down valley.
With twelve years' experience dining at Babe's, this place never fails to impress. The venue, decor and atmosphere is extradordinary. As another reviewer posted, there no place that does baby back ribs like Babe's. A little hidden gem on the menu is the wedge salad, which is the best of its kind. If the wedge were the only item ion the menu, I'd still be a regular customer. Babe's iconic reputation is well deserved.

Update!!! We finally got seated after over an hour wait. And we literally sat at the table waiting for our server for over 10 mins. We asked another waiter for help and he ghosted us walking by 4 times. Zero eye contact. Stay away and head over to Yard House or PF Chang's, they want your business.
Why are businesses still open if they don't have the staff to serve customers. I understand the challenges of find staff, but it's their brand and reputation. Why continue to struggle if it's only going to hurt your brand.....also, being polite goes a long way. Ghosting customers and ignoring them for 10-15 mins while they wait to put in their name is unacceptable. I refused to lower my standards, especially since I'm the one paying for longer wait times, moody staff, higher prices and overall decline is hospitality. Come on Babe's, you used to be the Jewel of the Palm Desert. Step up your game or get out!
