Fabulous barbecue, which can be hard to find in California! (I'm from Texas where bbq is king!) Wonderful friendly service and great food all around. Highly recommended!

It's easy to sit in the car, scroll through social media and get a burger at in n out across the street. But come on, go in and take a moment to sit in a throw back BBQ/ western restaurant. It's not as fast but that's the point, it's better.... Sit and enjoy good food with your family. I'm seeing these places drop off the map and I hope we can stop it before we become a Amazon, immediate gratification country. Great goody, great atmosphere....that's all we need!

Watched them throwing great value fries from Walmart in the fryer, no to mention the wait was about an hour never got my food because I was told after waiting 30 minutes I would have to wait another 20 to order and they were empty I was third in line.

*CAME BACK TO UPDATE, MY FAMILY HAS BEEN SHOWING SIGNS OF FOOD POISONING. Will be contacting the health department! * The service was friendly but the restaurant was filthy. After ordering is when I began to notice. First with the bathrooms, both were extremely dirty, toilets disgusting. Bodily fluids on the walls. Which led to me assumes how the clean the employees are with the rest of the establishment. The tables we’re not wiped the sodas fountain was sticky. I was going to get tea as a beverage but it looked like it hadn’t be cleaned in a while. My food was already served before I could process my thoughts for a refund. I was afraid to finish my meal after a couple bites off the thought of food poisoning. Upon entering staff where leaning around which could be time for a deep cleaning. Save yourself the trouble go elsewhere.

Ordered 2 full racks to go. They were ready when I got there. In and out in a couple minutes. Took home and all 4 of us agreed They were the best ribs ever. Little to no fat. Next time we are back from Solana Beach we will return
Just came in today for my first time in a few years and since this location transitioned under new ownership.
I can tell you this though…Tonya and Sam, (I made a point of getting their names) the new owners, are like a breath of fresh air. And I don’t even mean as limited to the restaurant business. I mean they exemplify the sort of excellence anyone in business should strive for. Luckily, for us, their talents aren’t being wasted in some faceless back office, but rather out-front and interfacing with customers, while delivering service only bonused by the fact that they are also serving you barbecue made with love.
In my experience, these types of individually owned and operated chain restaurants are only as good as the individual owner/managers, who choose or choose not to run them by prioritizing a memorable customer experience.
I just hope Dickey’s corporate realizes how lucky they are to have two ambassadors such as these, keeping their brand shining !

A $25 pulled pork sandwich that could be more accurately a pork fat sandwich. Approx 95% was chunks of fat...not meat!

First and last time. Ribs are so salty it’s unbearable. Binned most of the order and previously never wasted a rib in my life. Also, virtually impossible to pay on screen without leaving a 15% tip, very aggressive approach to a service that typically doesn’t require tipping.

The employee who helped did not even know if he had FRESH bakers !! I asked for brisket it was extremely dry I said no green onions as I have an allergy did he care Nope !! No utensils to eat with . He did not know how to upsell or ask if I wanted a big pink cup now I’m a baked potato snob and I wanted something that I could enjoy for 2 days . But due to the employee cross contaminating my food cause I can taste diff meats on this plus green onions I can not eat it
The employee dressed like a slob had a scruffy beard , which is against health code policy’s he needs to wear a beard net .
This place has def gone down hill and I used to do a ton of catering from this place but no longer
Potato was hard as a rock that means it was not done properly or its old !!!

Order was not made right, didn't notice until I had got back to the office. This was a to go order, a bit upset about it, nothing I could do at that point you know? I feel they should better keep an eye on their orders as they make them..

Went in on a Sunday, a very nice man named Angel helped us with the menu and gave us come recommendations since it was our first time! The food was amazing and for an incredible price too! Angel was the only person working at the time but we got our food within 10 minutes and he was very friendly and accommodating! 10/10 for Angel!

We grew up in Texas. This food made us sick. It's a very bad experience. Do not waste your money on over priced bbq.
