The service from David was very good. Food options were very limited and not like a typical Italian restaurant.
We've always loved the Rancho Las Palmas patio for the ambiance, and we were excited to see the recent remodel. We've eaten at the old Blue Ember many times, and while the food used to be just okay, the food at Double Date was fantastic! Service was very slow, but the staff was friendly and we didn't mind, we enjoyed the patio, live music, and great meal. It felt like the kitchen was simply overwhelmed by the Valentine's Day rush. We'll definitely be back for the ambiance and the food, and I'm sure the timing will improve.
Service was great. Ambiance was great. Not too loud. The kitchen was backed up and was ridiculously slow bit it was Valentine's Day and we were enjoying our time together so we let that slide. Not overpriced. They had someone playing the Harp which was a great touch.
Food was great. Service was slow from the start, starting with the valet, hostess and waiter. Felt as though they were still trying to find their footing. Will be back to give it another chance.
My halibut was overcooked. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. Cocktails and food was over priced and not very tasty.
This was our first experience with a new restaurant in the area. The space is nicely decorated and comfortable. The live singer was much too loud for a space without any sound buffer. It disrupted our ability to carry on conversations. The cuisine was a nice variety of Italian offerings. We especially liked the beet salad, lamb osso bucco, and California oil cake. The service was a bit rushed with one staff person trying to clear our plates before we we finished and another staff person giving us the dessert menu while we were still enjoying our entrees. I'm sure they will sort things out. We will be back.
The hostess was extremely accommodating Service was great and food was delicious thank you for making my sisters birthday one to remember!
We live locally and were excited to try Double Date Italian Kitchen at the Omni in Rancho Mirage. They did a fantastic job with the space—the bar is gorgeous and really sets the tone for the dining room. We started with drinks: an appletini (yes, an appletini!), an Old Fashioned, and a Golden Road Mango beer. All were good, though $12 for the beer felt a little steep. The arugula salad with gorgonzola, dried cherries, and prosecco vinaigrette was excellent. We also ordered bread, which arrived after the salad (probably my fault for ordering it late), but it was tasty. For dinner, I had the halibut—excellent flavor, just slightly overcooked, but still very enjoyable with the mushrooms and artichoke hearts. My husband's Jidori chicken was also excellent, and our friend loved the veal chop Milanese. Overall, a great meal with solid service. The dining room was a bit chilly since the doors were open for outdoor service, but nothing that would keep us from returning. We'll definitely be back.
Although quite pricey this place made for an amazing Christmas dinner meal with our teenage kids. The food was incredible and the ambiance was perfect. Our waiter, David M was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food came out relatively quick. Try the bouillabaisse and you won't be sorry!
Truly one of the finest dining experiences I've had in Palm Springs! Food was beyond delicious and the service was close to impeccable. Bravo!

Chelsea, our server, was excellent. However, the food took a very long time to be served which I believe is a kitchen timing thing and not the server's fault. Beautiful setting and lovely live music outdoors.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Double Date Italian earns a solid 4.5. The food was really good and well prepared. Service was a bit slow, possibly because it was close to closing time, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The ambiance of the hotel was beautiful and really elevated the evening. Overall, a great experience and definitely something we'd want to do again.
We had 5:30 reservations for two. Read many of the reviews and being an Omni resort we felt it was going to be a memorable evening. In reading the restaurant guidelines, it clearly states business casual attire, so we dressed dressed appropriately. We arrived at the restaurant and there was at least eight kids running around the bar area playing tag! Kids were yelling in fun but was it clearly disrupted the atmosphere and it was obvious that the adults in the bar and lounge area were annoyed; the host should've taken control of the situation and addressed the parents. We checked in and had a seat at the bar. There was one bartendress who was working her best to keep up. Once seated, it took over 15 minutes to get acknowledged by our waiter, he took our drink and dinner selections it never returned. After 20 minutes, I got up and walked to the bar and ordered our drinks myself. It was now 50 minutes since we placed our order and our meal arrived. As an appetizer, we had the pickled beets, which were delicious for our main course, we ordered the Branzino fish and Oso Bucco which was very good. But, Throughout the dining experience, the loud kids made our dining unpleasant. in short the hotel & restaurant atmosphere and the food were well received... However, the dining service and “noise” control is not what we expected from an exclusive restaurant, needless to just say we will not be returning. Hopefully the staff at the hostess station will enforce the dress attire request, and remind parents to control their children.
Delicious! We are three meals in since last night’s arrival at the resort. Tonight we ate outside on the patio, just an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Ricardo was our server last night, he’s fantastic!

We really enjoyed this little gem that had only opened one week earlier! The food was exquisite and plentiful, and all of the staff were spot-on. We were staying at the Omni Las Palmas, so dining was very convenient in addition to being a special date night!
