Joyce's Sushi

I have visited this location in the past and it’s sad to see the service has declined this bad .

I ordered Yakisoba SPICEY . It’s an option for the dish.

When the lady who brought me the take out after waiting over a half hour , she just said yakisoba so I verified SPICEY and she said yes yes SPICEY.

Got home NOPE, not SPICEY .

What made it worse, when I called and inquired as to why it wasn’t SPICEY , the first guy said he was sorry and I could come back in for another one , I declined after waiting so long and the end of my day , he offered a refund and then had to ask manager to assist . SHE said yakisoba not SPICEY It doesn’t come SPICEY ? .
Come on from the manager I at least expect you know your menu ! ( see photo from their menu here )

So while I appreciate all the first guy tried , she ruined the entire experience in her lack of management skills which speaks for the issues in the order and from other reviews the service . I wish the old staff was here , I don’t think I’ll return now.

We got the ramen which was good but not the best I’ve ever had and we got a few rolls all good, the hot sake was served in a glass thing that didn’t keep the head in very well. We had multiple servers ask us if we wanted to order drinks and food so it was a little confusing. Also our dishes piled up and with little room at the bar it was crowded and we felt bad for people sitting down next to us near our dirty dishes.

The waiter had trouble understanding what we were ordering. Didn’t speak a word in English.

We had a great experience at Joyce’s Sushi! The sushi was super good! everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the flavors were absolutely on point. You can really tell they care about quality & freshness here. 🐟🔥

The atmosphere was fine, certainly nothing fancy, there were some splatters on the walls🫣 but beyond the cleaning oversight, it was great. Our
server was awesome, super friendly, and the whole team was really attentive. We felt taken care of the whole time.

Overall, 10/10 for the food and service. We’ll definitely be back for another sushi fix the next time we're in town! 🙌🍱

Way overrated, ok at best.
When converting Canadian $ for two seniors to eat there ($209.00 with tip) is ridiculous. Fish was at room temperature which I didn’t like. Go to Ralph’s and buy theirs just as good and priced better.

I love this place. But.. lol.. Always a but.. lol.. so eating their sushi was great every time! However I got chicken and it was that compressed chicked. Doesn't even taste like chicken!! And the beef that is used in the Bentu bowls is not good. This place is supposed to be high end the 1st time I spent $200 on the three of us. No co.plaints! 2nd time No complaints. 3rd time along with the sushi got the Bentu's. Mistake!! If you give high end sushi and everything is great why would you serve poor quality beef and chicken.. Now since I have been there so many times the only way the can get 5 stars from me is if they change the quality of the beef and chicken!!

I was there for Valentine's day dinner. The food was fine and the portion size for the combo dinner is good. The jumbo Ami Abi special for $35 was not worth it. Way too much wasabi.

Where I knock the points was the service. We were trying to enjoy our dinner. We felt very rushed the whole time. The place was busy, but the server kept rushing our order and would run away if we didn't give her a quick response. There were two ladies who was working that evening and both of them did that. I even heard one of them say, 'we need to take all the order now, because we are busy, and we have many to-go orders'. Why is this customer's problem? Also, why do you have a robot when it kept getting stuck on your small hallway. I had to point it out to the server that the robot is stuck multiple times. It would've been easier to just hand it to them.

Also, there was a free large sake if we were to put a review. The server said that's not applicable and that they can give an ice cream (bad tasting green tea). Then, please don't put this on the menu and even in your bathroom if you don't want to provide this.

Also, don't make us tip on top of the Tax amount. The tip should be based on the food items, not on the total amount with taxes. This is a not a good practice.

Not as good as last year. Sushi was not as tasty. Lacked the mirin and vinegar in the rice. Fish was fresh. Presentation was blah. Last year it was a stunning presentation of different rolls. Much more expensive this year. Servers do not speak English that well.

For Strip Mall Sushi I was absolutely blown away. They are a bit pricey, but it is worth it. For being in the desert their fish is very fresh, and the presentation is very good. What really surprised me (and I know this is going to sound crazy) was how good their California roll is. For the most basic of a sushi restaurant, to elevate the most common thing the way they did was impressive.
