I can't believe it is closed and for sale. I just hope and pray that it does not go the way of Lyon's, I.e. bought and renovated into a generic LA hipster restaurant. Lord Fletchers was everything. The valet parking. The amazing and hilarious bartender Sir Andrew. The decor. The menu. To the future buyers: don't change a thing. The bathroom wallpaper. The Yorkshire pudding. What an institution. What a loss to the community.

Very clean and convenient place. They serve large meals and for reasonable prices. We enjoyed the food very much and the staff members were very attentive and chatty. Highly recommended.

Lord Fletcher's is a charming place in the desert. I confess that when I first passed it and it was locked up tight, I thought it might be a "gentleman's club" with it's lack of discernible windows, and its petite size. What a HUGE surprise to go inside, and hear of its history in the desert. The bar is packed with Toby Jugs of every size, and the pub food, drink, and bartender are superb. We plan to return for dinner soon.

Sit at the bar with Sir Andrew and have him play some musical puppets. The roast beef sliders are excellent.

My family and I just ate at Lord Fletcher's for the first time. Initially, there was some confusion with our reservation and we had to move because they gave us somebody else's table. We had an excellent waiter (I think his name was Sean/Shawn) who was very knowledgeable and attentive and made ordering a delightful process. In fact, the service at Lord Fletcher's is exceptional. However, we were not happy about their strange policy of reserving food. My mother wanted to order the Halibut, but was told that this wasn't possible because too many people had "reserved" the Halibut. If I'm not mistaken, Lord Fletcher's lets people reserve food if they're reserving a table (or something like that). We had one of the first 5:30 PM reservations, so were very perturbed that they essentially placed a higher priority on the requests of future diners than those, like us, who were currently dining. Since my mom couldn't order the Halibut, she decided to try their white fish. I ordered the New York steak, my dad ordered the prime rib, and my grandma ordered the chicken and dumplings. Before the main course, they brought us soup and salad. My salad was good, though probably a bit too wet and overdressed. Their soup of the day was potato leek, which received positive reviews from my family. Soon after, our main dishes arrived, along with a side of mushrooms. Everything looked great and other than my steak, there were no criticisms. I don't like eating red or pink meat and always order my meat well done. Unfortunately, it wasn't cooked according to my liking. It was obvious that the chef/cook had - in order to save time - cooked my steak at a high temperature which burnt it while leaving the middle uncooked. Long story short, the owner was apologetic, removed my burnt steak from the bill, gave us a free prime rib dinner to take home, and provided us with multiple dessert dishes for free as well. This goes above and beyond the level of customer service and satisfaction that you will find in typical steakhouses. Overall, the food was decent and the care that we received was impressive. I recommend you try Lord Fletcher's, because it's an entertaining experience and their employees are wonderful people.

Good valet parking, friendly profesional service Old world beef house dining charm Food was ok but not a Knox out, expected better Wife had Lord cut med Rair I had king end cut on bone Not mush flavor for end cut and too dry had to order a juice. Cream spinach was over salty and mushroom bottoms so so, potato pancake good very good apple sauce, Above average desert restaurant coffee Very Hard to find good NY or LA steak or beef house food in the Palm Sprigs desert area I don't know if it's the availability of good chefs, good products to start, or not wanting to pay the price for them,

Fun old time atmosphere. Dinner starts at $36.00. Very good food. Never disappoints.

Old school English restaurant with great service. Valet parking, easy to find. Nice varied menu. If you’re looking for just a salad, probably not your restaurant choice. But if you want a thick prime rib, Yorkshire pudding and creamed spinach, or ribs, pot roast, chicken and dumplings - make a reservation. There’s a reason they’ve been in business for over 50 years.
