I suggest everyone check their food before leaving if you do drive thru or take out. There's many times they mess things up. I have to be honest this new crew that I see are better with doing your order better.
January 15th 2026 New Review. I've commented before you better check your bag when dining out because this location leaves items out that you ordered and paid for. Today I found out you also need to open the wrapping of your sandwiches because they also get orders wrong. I ordered a Steak, Egg and Cheese bagel, I received a Sausage Egg and Cheese Bagel instead. My receipt had the correct sandwich. I found this out when I got home. Actually I forgot I bought my son a Cheese burger happy meal, when we got home there was just 2 buns with ketchup no cheeseburger. This should not happen. This McDonald's is not that busy and even if it was do the job right and give people what they pay for. Im a frequent customer of this .McDonald's, but its service is disappointing. Im originally from NYC, 8 million people live there so its crowded and very busy and they dont get orders wrong at McDonalds. McDonald's on Monterey needs to do better. No one should have to check their food when they leave.

NOT 24 hours!
Just want to mention that the crew should have more training in being more attentive with the customers. Youd be standing for minutes at the front and you are being completely ignored, especially, the male dt order taker, the male manager never smiles, the other crew like the black young guy the same, he would go back n forth doing something but wont acknowledge you at all. I was a gral mgr in a fast food, started as a cashier promoted all the way to managerial so i know what im talking about. Thats it. Just more training pls

Used the app to get curbside pick up, but the app never notified me that my order was complete. I finally went inside and asked about my order in which case I was approached by two people said it was done over an hour ago and they had thrown it away. They said they would remake it. I said the app never told me it was done. They walked away. Then when I tried to show the guy that the app never notified me it just showed me some dancing french fries he laughed in my face, said that it was ready an hour ago and I ordered it an hour ago and wanted to know if I was the one who made the order. Luckily my fiancé was on the phone and heard the attitude. He gave me my drinks so I could fill them myself mind you I had gotten curbside pick up as as I’m filling the drinks. I hear him run to the back and start telling all of the back employees about how I had supposedly given him attitude. I don’t know if the attitude was because I was a female because when my fiancé came to confront him, he hid behind the machines. The manager refused to give me his name so that when I call corporate, I can’t complain on the specific guy, but I know we’ll register he was at in the time so you must believe I’m not only leaving a verified Google review, but I’m also gonna be calling corporate. Don’t waste your time eating here because the atmosphere sucks just get drive-through if that it’s kind of too expensive anyways, so I suggest eating any other place that doesn’t give you a stomach ache afterwards.

I’ve never been spoken to with such disrespect at a McDonald’s before. The young man who helped us (I didn’t catch his name) was extremely rude and impatient. He talked over us while we were speaking, became visibly frustrated when we struggled to use the app, and did not take the time to answer our questions or help us understand how it worked.
Instead of being helpful, he kept moving the order along before we were ready and before we had finished ordering, which made the entire experience stressful and uncomfortable. Customer service should be about patience and assistance, especially when guests are trying to learn a new system.
Because of how poorly we were treated, we will not be returning to this location.

I don’t normally write reviews for fast-food places—especially McDonald’s—but this location absolutely deserves it.
The McDonald’s at **34101 Monterey Ave. in Rancho Mirage** is truly something special. The moment you walk in, it feels warm, inviting, and full of life. So many McDonald’s today feel modern but cold and sterile—this one is the complete opposite. It’s vibrant, colorful, and welcoming. From the bright, cheerful mural on the wall to the colorful lighting, it honestly feels like the McDonald’s of yesterday—in the best possible way.
What really sets this location apart is the people. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with genuine “hello,” “welcome,” and “good morning” from the staff. They were friendly, upbeat, and eager to help.
**Jack, Adriana, and Christian were absolutely top-notch.**
Jack went above and beyond—offering to get us anything we needed, delivering our meal to our table, and even asking if he could grab our sodas for us. He was also constantly cleaning and keeping the dining area spotless. Everything looked fantastic. Adriana greeted everyone with a warm smile and a truly welcoming presence.
And then there’s **Christian**, who completely blew me away. I watched him go from table to table checking on guests, asking if they were okay or needed anything. When he took orders out to cars and curbside, he carried a tray with extra sauces, napkins, and items *just in case* people needed them. That level of thoughtfulness and attention is incredibly rare—especially in fast food.
Here’s the moment that really sealed it for me: it was **10:33 a.m.**, and the menu had just switched to lunch. An older couple came in hoping to order breakfast. Most McDonald’s wouldn’t even hesitate to say no. Instead, Jack said, *“Let me go check.”* He went to the back, confirmed they still had breakfast items available, and they happily made it for them anyway.
This place feels different. It feels cared for. It feels human. Other McDonald’s locations should absolutely observe how this team operates—this is the standard.
I am unbelievably impressed. The service here truly blew me away, and I’m so glad we chose to eat inside. It reminded me of what McDonald’s used to be, when people genuinely wanted to help.

Probably one is the worst experiences at a McDonald's ever. Pulled up in the drive thru and ordered 3 two cheeseburger combos and double cheeseburger combo. Pulled up to the first window and our order was wrong. Had one combo and 2 cheeseburgers alone. Told her what our order combo should be. Drove up to the second window and our order was wrong again. Had to park and go inside to fix the order. They kept putting the special that came with nuggets and kept telling them we didn't want the nuggets Took 15 minutes for 2 employees and a manager to figure out our correct order, which should have been really easy, but they made it extremely complicated for some reason. To top it all off, we were there at shift change, so the food should have been fresh, but it wasn't. It was cold.

Food was hot and as ordered. Sat at the order window for a bit before we were greeted and waited a long time behind a vehicle who got two kids meal. Everonin the vehicle wondered why they didn't have them pull around, so the rest of the vehicles could get their order. That's why I gave a 3 star rating.

I went by the drive-thru at about 5:30 a.m. and ordered a #2 combo with coffee and also 2 for $6 sausage mc muffins for about $12. The food was hot and fresh and taste great! The drive-thru lady was very courteous and I got my order super quick. Good thing too I was so hungry! Kudos to them!
