I miss this place! It’s my favorite place to dine when in PS. Was very sad to find out it’s “Temporarily Closed” on my recent visit to the area. Sure hope it’s just temporary :-/

There was a hostess there for many years. We had drinks with her at another restaurant. Intended on visiting shame on the moon and we waited too long. Our new friend gave us some good recommendations of places in the valley. Wish we would have got her number. Good people. I think may have been Ginger.

This restaurant is closed and has been for months. Open Table never responded to my email. And couldn't cancel this reservation nor make a new one due to error from Open Table.

This was my favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley. It is now permanently closed and up for sale. A huge loss to our area. I would love to know where their chef is working now.

Really this review is about Open Table not having their act together and having me (and numerous others) make reservations and confirm them at a closed restaurant. I had reservations with plans to celebrate a friend's significant birthday. The restaurant was closed, it was Friday night and we had to scramble. Later, looking at the Shame on the Moon Open Table website, I saw that numerous people had informed Open Table of the restaurant's closure. Very disappointed in Open Table. It would be appropriate for Open Table to compensate all of us with gift certificates to another restaurant in the area.

They were not open. Take them off your reservation for now. Had to find another restaurant that night. There were two other cars of people that drove up with reservations with you for Shame on the moon.

This restaurant was closed. It had been closed for some time. Yet, the website is still up and Open Table made us a reservation. Open Table even confirmed the reservation the day before our dinner was scheduled. Yet when we arrived for dinner there were no cars in the lot and the door was locked. There was a yellow sign saying a new ownership application was pending. We were left scrambling for a place to celebrate the birthday dinner. I was very surprised the website didn't mention the closure and even more that Open Table processed the reservation and even confirmed it.

We made a reservation for a family birthday throughOpen Table which was accepted. We even received a text asking us to confirm our attendance a day or two before the reservation. Imagine our surprise when we arrived for our reservation and the restaurant was closed down, the doors chained and a signed saying they were closed pending a permit for a new owner. Even the restaurant web site didn't indicate they were out of business. Very disappointing especially given we ad made celebration plans. Not sure we will go back even if they do reopen under new ownership.

We made the reservation the day before. We showed up to find the place was closed. Loooked like there was to be a new owner as beverage control had posted change of ownership notice. Could not make another reservation as no way to contact open table. And app would not allow.

Disappointed! Made reservation on Open Table, received confirmation, only to discover they were closed ... once driving 30 mins to restaurant! Why in the world didn't SOTM remove themselves from Open Table to avoid this problem?! Shame on them!!!

Made the reservation to which I've been to this restaurant at least 40 times to find a $1000 delinquent water bill on the door the phone number disconnected and we were all looking forward to dining at Shame On The Moon and they are closed!! So sad!!!

Everyone including Open Table needs to know that Shame on the Moon is closed. We arrived for our confirmed reservation only to find the parking lot empty and the doors locked. Very sad as this was one of my favorite restaurants in the desert.
