We got off to a bad start at the front door. The woman at the desk was very rude. We arrived at 11:10am asking for a table for 2. She said “15 minute wait”. I asked Why ? The dining room appeared wide open. She rolled her eyes telling me “because we have a party of 20”. We waited while others were seated, finally she pointed to a table,said nothing and walked away. Our server was excellent and lunch was too.
We live very close to The Cheesecake Factory at the River in Rancho Mirage so wanted to give it a try. We've been 3 times and it's definitely been hit or miss. First let me say, the space is very nice. Its large, and appealing and they have a nice patio looking at the water at The River. Our particular servers have been attentive. The food has sometimes not been hot all the way through and average. And other times quite good. They have an extensive (too large) menu....
Father's Day and we expected it to be busy and crowded. We happened to get in between crowds. Got a table in 5 minutes. Our server was Melissa. Excellent service. She was so busy but took care of us like we we were her only customers. She was friendly and made sure we had drinks and bread while we waited for our entrees. Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. We have enough for 3 meals. Got dessert also
