We were very disappointed by our Valentine’s Day dinner. For a $600 prix fixe menu, the experience was absolutely not worth the price.
My partner has gluten, dairy, and nut allergies, and because the menu was pre-fixed, I confirmed three times in advance that his allergies would be accommodated. Despite this, he was served dairy three separate times during the meal. As a result, he spent the entire dinner feeling anxious about eating instead of enjoying the evening.
The staff appeared to acknowledge allergies but failed to handle them properly, which is unacceptable at this price point. On top of that, the food quality was underwhelming and did not justify the cost.
Overall, a stressful and disappointing experience. We would not recommend this restaurant, especially for guests with dietary restrictions.

Scott was along and made out evening with great suggestions. Food was delicious-just fairly large check for soup and salad-but again was delicious!
We had outdoor reservations for 7pm, but when we arrived we were told it was too busy and there wasn’t space outside, so we were seated inside near the lounge instead.
Our server (Devin?) was friendly, but the service felt kind of all over the place — checked on a few times in a row when we didn’t need anything, then nothing once the food came. One of the cocktails that was supposed to come with dinner never showed up.
My friend, who goes there often for drinks, asked for the bar snack and was told no, that bread service was what was offered at tables. Not a big deal but just… odd for a Ritz.
The music in the lounge was great but really loud — we kept adjusting our voices trying not to bother other tables.
Food was ok, not bad, just not memorable. Overall the night just felt awkward for the price point.
Figured you’d want to know, I’m sure that’s not the usual experience there.

Food is excellent and service. The views are spectacular location couldn't be any better. The Food portions are very small and the food overall is extremely over priced the steaks in particular .
This is the second time my family and I have visited The Edge, and once again the experience was excellent. The staff’s professionalism is truly top tier. This includes Chef Nyitre Rodgers who is also an absolute professional. There was a delay with our food order. We didn’t even notice. Chef personally came to our table to apologize which was greatly appreciated. The food is phenomenal, and this is a place we will happily return to time and time again.

Great food and ambience. Our server was so attentive and it was awesome to meet the Chef what an amazing experience and menu. Thanks so much
Pork chop was horrible... extremely salty and impossible to cut. The filet was the smallest filet I've ever seen served at a restaurant - and at a cost of $98. No sides or salad included in that $98. Service was very good though.
THE best restaurant in the area with consistently high standards in food, service and ambiance every time. Love this place.

Every single staff member from the hotel were welcoming and helpful. The waiters made sure that we had a one of a kind experience for our anniversary and offered to take photos.
We have a great time here and they really made me feel special for my birthday dinner. The food was excellent!

Our dinner at The Edge Steakhouse during our two-night stay at The Ritz-Carlton was nothing short of spectacular, standing out as the absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we were seated, the atmosphere and service were world-class, beginning with perfectly balanced Manhattans and a fresh, briny dozen of Oysters on the Half Shell. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the 9oz Rib Cap; it was prepared to absolute perfection, offering that incredible, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that only a premium cut can provide, especially when paired with the velvety Rosemary Potato Puree. We capped off the night by indulging in the Raspberry Chocolate Soufflé and a glass of Sandeman 20 Year Port, which provided a rich, sophisticated finish to an already flawless meal. While it is certainly a fine-dining investment, the exceptional quality of the cuisine and the attentive staff made every bit of it worth it—we cannot recommend The Edge highly enough for anyone looking for a premier dining experience in Rancho Mirage.
Waiter was excellent Both rib eyes were overcooked with average flavor more like a $45 dollar steak rather a $165 steak help staff cleared french fries before they we were done kale salad dressing was bland sea bass was flavorless pear salad not as good compared to when she had it at state faire broccoli was good mash potatoes and fries were excellent as was ketchup filet was good, but prawns were dry bread and butter were good as was the starter dish
The Edge is top notch. Especially the location with overlooking the valley. The contemporary architecture is beautiful.
Ask for a table near the window for the View
The food was disappointing the service excelllent and views great The scallops were very spicy. Both people at our table returned them as they overdosed on cayenne pepper. Himachi excellent. Needed a bit of lemon. The octopus risotto was very good but a little tuff (overcooked). The scallops were replaced with sea bass which was very good but not a wow either.
The lemon drop I ordered specific for Belvedere vodka was not good and 70% full glass
Lots of waiting. The waiter a sweetheart Btw the bread is delicious.
