I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. I live about 5 minutes away and go to the spa and the restaurant all the time. But at 2am when my heater went out. They didn’t even bat an eye to get my husband and I and our two young children into a cozy room. Thank you 🙏

The hotel is lovely, the pool is nice. The restaurant on site really needs a helping hand however. The food is mediocre at best and the staff while friendly is definitely not working at a typical restaurant pace. The prices do not match the quality/taste service.

Exceptionally prepared and presented dishes- as a local we very much appreciate having The Gate so close!! Our family's favorites include the shrimp cocktail, poke salad appetizer, the Caesar salad, really almost everything is excellent- and they have some superb specials!!

Poor service. Called several times revalued if not being able to make online reservation. Staff said “We will check with our manager and call you back.” Both times. Never did call us back. Server took our order but didn’t give it to the chef for a hour. Came and asked us after a hour if we wanted our check when we had never gotten any food. They brought out my food and didn’t bring my husbands. He had 3 pancakes that’s it and it took another 20 minutes to bring those out! Pricey… food was Dennys quality with smaller portions for triple the price.

The BLT for lunch was delicious and plentiful. Best fries around. And the salad was more than just a lettuce salad as it was packed with tons of fresh vegetable slices. Services was relaxing and unobtrusive. A perfect outside lunch date

The food was fabulous! It's unfortunate that the wait staff doesn't match the quality of the meal itself, and the beautiful environment the venue has built. It took a long time to get help, waters were dry most the meal. Then because we were a party of 7 (mind you 2 were children), we got a 25% service charge!! I don't mind paying for a large party, if I get actual service. But with 2 kids and dry water cups I'm not exactly sure what I paid for. We even had a meal missing the entire time, which was brought after everyone else finished (you could tell the kitchen had it ready as the lettuce on the plate was wilted, it was just never brought to us). Kiddos to a great chef and great venue. But with service and fees like this I doubt I'll be back anytime soon
