We just discovered this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Well we were very pleased with the food and the service. They use a lot of fresh vegetables in the preparation of their dishes and their Hot and Sour Soup is delicious. It was so good we went back the next night just to buy more soup!

The proprietors of the restaurant are very nice. The restaurant appeared clean, and the food came out promptly, but that's where the compliments have to stop. The food was bland, the portions were small, and the presentation was underwhelming. I tried the wor wonton soup, it was too salty but still not flavorful. We tried the mu shu shrimp and the pancakes were mostly empty but the was no filling remaining. The Bbq pork and snow peas was mediocre at best. If you want good Chinese food, or traditional Cantonese cuisine, keep going to the next option. Irvine's only 20 minutes away.

My wife and I decided to try this place out and we're glad we did. The food is great! She had the house special chicken, which comes on a bed of broccoli, has a side of rice, and a little egg roll with the lunch special. The broccoli was fresh, cooked perfectly and I must say... was delicious with the sauce. I had the szechuan pork. Spicy and delicious as well. We'll definitely come back for more. There were a lot of other menu items that sounded really good.

I had almost given up on Chinese food for years because every place was so bad. Even the big chains like PF Changs tend to disappoint. Not anymore! New Lake is awesome and hits all the right spots. Tried 5 things and all of them were excellent! It’s my new take out to go spot! So glad I fount them.

Very disappointed in the food we received in our Uber order. We ordered rice, noodles and egg rolls. We received some very spicy chicken that went to waste bc it was way to hot to eat, rice and noodles.

We only picked up from here. Location is small and nothing to speak of internally. BUT, the food was excellent. Ordered typical family mix - portions were good, fresh, flavorful. Probably one of the better Chinese meals I have had in the area. We will eat there again - we'll probably continue to take out.

9/10/23, 1st time customer but I will definitely be returning. Newish to the area and this was a great choice for take out. I ordered the orange chicken,9.5/10, Not greasy or covered in fried bread. VERY tasty. Chicken fried rice was also a 9.5 out of 10 as well as the Chicken chowmein. Both were delicious. The creamcheese wantons were a 9/10. Good size not overcooked. Sweet n sour sauce was really goo too. The BBQ pork was a 9.5 only because I feel like there should have been more but only by a few pieces. Im still going to order it again. The only 10/10 Was the customer service. Extremely nice and accommodating with recommendations.

The fact that this place made it to one of my kid's top fave restaurants, I had no choice but to give it 5 stars. My kid loves Din Tai Fung xio long bao, and he was so happy to find a place close by that had it. I was just happy that this place was much more affordable and convenient. Even their egg fried rice is so affordable. I like how their food is so light and simple and doesn't leave you feeling bloated. We will definitely be coming back.
