Drop in for a beer. And found it very warm and friendly. It was warm do to a wood stove. We had been motorcycle riding in 45 degree at 60 to 65 mph. Chill factor . Cold beer and warm place. Made it very enjoyable.

Reasonable Doubt

Robert the bartender was friendly and welcoming. The one local next to us was friendly as well. Seems like a very nice place to have a beer at bar when stopping through or visiting Hensley. The kids can play outside and you can drink on the patio and watch them. No Draughts, No Liquor, just good times it seems. We’ll always stop here when visiting Hensley

Great place! They don't pour liquor, just beer, but it's usually okay to bring your own, they'll provide a cup. Where else can you leave your bottle and handgun on the table while going to the restroom. God bless America!!

Fun bar located out in the middle of nowhere. Small place with a pool table and nice atmosphere. Appears to be mostly local regulars. They claim to be one of the longest continuously operating bars in California.....even through prohibition. Fun place to spend an afternoon and meet new people. Just on the edge of Knowels, CA home of one of the biggest granite mines in the state. Robert, the bartender is very knowledgeable about the history of the surrounding area.

I absolutely adore this hidden gem. Considering it is over 100 years old already adds to the charm but then you step inside and you are taking to another decade. Robert is the best bartender and story teller in town. The walls are riddled with fun signs, bumber stickers and posters to entertain you. Coldest beer in town is their claim and it's true.

This was the most amazing bar ever!!! By far the safest most friendly environment I have had the pleasure of drinking and playing pool in. Thank you Robert for providing everlasting memories and a wonderful time!!!

Sit on the porch, take in the cool breeze and relax with a cold beer.
