We visited Lassen Volcanic National Park on Labor Day and drove back to eat in Red Bluff where we were staying. Fortunately, this was about the only non-fast food open in the town, and they had just reopened after changing dining concepts. While we did not have a lot of choices, this turned out to be a good dinner. We started with drinks, as it is a bar, and appetizers (jalapeno poppers and cheese fries) and all were very good. Our table got pizza, burgers and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Was it the best meal? No. Was it great not to go to bed without dinner after a day of hiking? Absolutely. If you are visiting LVNP or just happen to be visiting Red Bluff and need a place to eat dinner, try the Palomino Room. They will make sure you don't leave Red Bluff hungry.

The smash burger with tots was legit. They toast the buns with garlic butter and have a delicious secret sauce. Pickles are bomb too. $12

SKIP REDDING COME TO RED-BLUFF!
I am on a long road trip and my car started to act funny. I stopped in red bluff because I had to. I’ve never been here before and immediately got a hotel for the night.
I showered and felt defeated and deflated and I needed food and a drink. I walked to every bar in this town and felt so weird, out of place, or unwelcome BUT the second I walked into Palomino Room I felt at home! The bartender and owner were lovely, charming, and accommodating. Even with just me in the bar I felt taken care of and what a load off my shoulders it was to be able to have a drink and eat after such a rough and long drive alone with car issues. The bartender kept me company with conversation and some laughs and for all the girlies out there he was a straight up hottie ;)
Thank you guys! This town is well worth the stop on a long road trip, even if it’s just to walk the old town avenue on the way to getting a pint at the Palomino room!

They have a full menu again. Trash can nachos were huge. I wasnt a fan of the white sauce. I felt It was grainy. The wings were untreated which was awesome. Really good and a large portion. The drinks were great as usual.

The food is super good and came out hot. I highly recommend the buffalo mac and cheese and chicken parmesan sandwich. Tanna was super nice and attentive the entire time. The only downside is that we waited a long time for our parmesan bites, which came out at the end of the meal. But, they were really good!
