40 minutes to get the first drink, comped and we ordered another. It came..... 40 minutes later. No excuse for that. The food was ok but nothing special. Presentation wasn't bad, but cold mash potatoes shouldn't ever leave a decent kitchen. Thought I had Covid for a minute because the steak in red wine was tasteless. Lovely waitress. Outdoor patio seating was lovely. Two person, starter, salad, one steak, one lobster, one cocktail, one dessert, $270 including a $50ish tip. I really hope this restaurant does well, but for my visit, it felt as though the price was too high for the experience.
The food was on point as usual. Our waitress was having a bad night. She seemed to not like us, she was rude to my niece Never had that experience there before. She didn't put in our drinks when we re ordered the second round and at the end she didn't ever bring us our coffee we ordered. We never said anything at that point because our dessert was already gone.
It took close to one hour to receive our main course. We were first in the door when they finally opened the door . A couple who came in behind us had eaten and was leaving and we still not gotten our food. Overall the experience was one I never want to have again. They are closing but if they were to stay open we would never return.
Had a great time sitting at the bar for dinner. Would suggest a couple things, first, all beers should be served in iced/very chilled glasses, mine was not. Second, when someone is having dinner at the bar, give them place settings. other than that, service and food were great!
Their idea of a glass of wine and mine is a lot different. $10 for 2.5 oz. Of Chardonnay is ridiculous. Our waitress was trying hard but needs way more training to be acceptable. I ordered a double gin martini over ice with a shot of dry vermouth most bartenders know that means a dash of vermouth to make a legitimate martini. This person interpreted that as a full shot of vermouth on top of a double shot of gin. On top of that, they charged me $3 for vermouth added to the martini. Food was ok but the presentation was amateurish and embarrassing. Needless to say, we won't be driving 35 miles south to Red Bluff for dinner at this restaurant.
This place has A/C issues. Almost 80 degrees when we were there. Everyone apparently knows about it though including the servers? They had fans blowing to try to keep you comfortable. You would think the ambiance they were trying for with the Decor that they would get the A/C fixed or upgraded. Our cold water that was poured before we got there (with no ice) was not cold when we were seated because of how warm it was. The Yukon potatoes (over abundance of them) were not smashed and had no flavor. We had to add salt. Thought they could have something green added to the plate for +$50 an entree. The steak and shrimp were good and service was good. This place just needs some tweaks to make it a Prime steakhouse before we go back again.
This place was absolutely amazing. Waitress was on top everything never had to ask for a thing. Beautiful place and the food ? ? ? ?. I Definitely will be a returning customer. I highly recommend the cheesecake.
We went to this restaurant because they would seat us outside. It was warm and we were the only table occupied on the patio. Although the wait staff had to trek the extra distance outside to serve us, they were extremely gracious and attentive. We had at least four people help us and never did we feel we were an inconvenience. The food was also excellent. My steak was fabulous and the rest of our meal was outstanding. It was our anniversary dinner and everyone made it a very special evening.
One of the best restaurant's I've tried in awhile I recommended everyone go. Very friendly attentive staff, appetizers and food came out very promptly, everything was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back!
Walking into the restaurant all you could smell was hot garbage from the garbage cans out front on a hot day. The ambiance and decor was really nice. Food was not great. I had cold raw arugula on my new York steak plate with cold mashed potatoes. The saffron aioli foe the calamari just tasted like Mayo. Bread for the bread service was cold. Skirt steak wasn't rested enough before cut because it was dry and bloody all over the plate. Really dissapointed. Spent over 200.00 for 2 people and don't feel like going back.

I took 5 of us and we all had great food and drinks. Waitress was very good and the food was delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection and all other orders were excellent. I have never seen halibut cooked so well. Love that we have a place to go like this in Red Bluff!!!
Everything from the appetizers, entrées, sides and desserts (made in-house) were amazing. Good portions, beautiful presentation, and the food was top quality and delicious. Great for a special occasion. We finished dinner with a spectacular sunset. Definitely will be going back!
We went to Prime Modern Steakhouse to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. (I made a note of that when I made the reservation). The staff seated us at a small table near the front door quickly upon arrival. We weren't thrilled with the table, it was located very close to a lively large party and right next to the front door, so it was super loud and difficult to even have a conversation. Our server took a long time to acknowledge us, and after I finally ordered a drink it was more than 15 minutes to arrive at the table. Having never been there before, I wasn't sure exactly how the menu worked. We ordered an appetizer of calamari, which was a huge portion and cooked perfectly. We waited for a very long time for the server to return to our table. The folks next to us were annoyed with her lack of attentiveness and had to get a hostess to flag her down for them as well. We ordered finally and I was interested in a salad, but the server didn't ask us if we wanted a salad or any sides, she just took our entrees and took off. I had the special of skirt steak and lobster, which came with roasted Yukon Gold potatoes and asparagus. My husband ordered the seared scallops. Both dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. The server offered us the check and I asked her for a dessert menu instead. We ordered the creme brulee, which was divine. Overall the place was really nice but loud. Amazing food, but we were disappointed that our server was not more attentive and we expected more from a high-end steakhouse in terms of service. If I owned the place I'd train my staff to upsell the menu options, sides, desserts, and drinks where several opportunities were lost for us. There was no mention of it being a special occasion for us, which was a bit disappointing, to be honest.
Prime Steakhouse is an awesome place to go in Red Bluff. The food is excellent and the waitress was so good and attentive. Prices are high for Red Bluff but the food makes up for it. Definitely would advise anyone to try it out.
Beautiful ambiance and delicious food!
