Local was closed but was still able to look at the in root tree house inside a giant redwood. It's a bit older but still worth a look to check the box. Free admission.
So glad that this place is still in business, I grew up in Humboldt County and on many weekends in the summer we would come down to the Redcrest area to swim in the Eel River. This place takes me right back to those days, something about a funky business with neon lights shining out of the dark redwoods looks so "Humboldt". I admire these folks for working hard to serve the people who are in an area with limited options for meals. We travel to the area a couple of times a year and we always patronize small local businesses.
Said close, but you can still visit inside.
Wonderful little gift shope with an exceptionally friendly and informative owner. Thanks for the help!
Definitely not worth the stop, there are WAY better places along the Avenue of Giants and Redwoods in general. It is a huge disappointment. Gift shop across the street isn’t bad and the Cafe is mediocre.
So, we visited the 31-mile-long Avenue of the Giants. There are not that many dining options on this route. We stopped at this place. They have a gift shop and a "Tree House" consisting of a tree trunk that is hollow at the bottom, pretty much an empty space. Nothing exciting. However, we stopped for much at the cafe there. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, and my wife had the veggie burger. Nothing special, but not bad. The waitress was very friendly, and prices were ok. Overall, a good place in a pinch.
Great place for a quick bite or pit stop while traveling the avenue of giants. Cool little gift shop, and the eternal treehouse is a neat site. The diner has fast and friendly service as well, and a Vegan burger option! The staff at the diner were super friendly and always quick to provide lunch!
One of the gift shops was closed but across the street there was one open with all sorts of good items for memorabilia.Nice service too, I recommend getting the huckleberry taffy...The eternal tree house itself is underwhelming to be honest... the avenue of the giants is a great drive though to see some of the greatest trees in the world.
Fun little spot to check out the tree and do a little shopping. Food available as well and penny machines! Was an enjoyable stop.
It's not really worth the stop - it's a cool idea, but it's not kept up very well. The gift shop to this area should have more to it as well. The shop across the street was really awesome, but the Eternal Tree House ? Eh, it was small and not really that impressive.
The food was great almost as good as the scenery. If you're in the area give this place a try actually don't miss it!
We stopped off to visit the Eternal Tree House as we thought the kids would like it, but after a long day of stops and walking through the Avenue of the Giants we decided to get some ice cream cones. Best $2 I ever spent. The woman who helped us loaded up those cones and made our kids super happy! They only have vanilla and chocolate, but really, who needs more than that?
Great place for a quick bite or pit stop while traveling the avenue of giants. Coollittle gift shop, and the eternal treehouse is a neat site. The diner has fast and friendly service as well.
I meet friends in this place many times a year! This is my favorite spot to have a bite. I go to this spot regularly. The food is very good, the crew is helpful and the prices are reasonable. I enjoy meeting in this place for a rich supper.
Unfortunately closed, but you can still visit the tree house
