Citrone is the place to visit for truly amazing food, service, and a quality experience. My wife and I visit weekly to enjoy the Chef's creative and delicious special menu items. The standard menu selections are equally extraordinary as Chef places his personal touch on each dish. His corn agnolotti, the prime beef carpaccio, and their selection of wagyu beef is a show stopper if you can appreciate quality ingredients and the attention to detail. My latest visit was an experience that will be long remembered. To compliment Chef, from the moment you arrive, the hosts and the wait staff are welcoming and intentional in creating an amazing experience. You must visit on several occasions to truly see how amazing the entire team is. Bring your appetite, an appreciation for quality ingredients, and a desire for expert techniques that you can enjoy close to home. If you live local in Redlands, or on a trip along the I-10 freeway, Citrone is a must-visit, particularly when Chef is serving the Alba or black winter truffles. Black truffle on the pistachio gelato is a must-try. Cheers!

Seafood was perhaps not quite fresh tasting. Service was above average. Strange to rely on street parking

Came here with my wife to celebrate having a baby. I don't like making reservations so we just walked in around 7pm on a Friday. It was pretty packed but we didn't wait long to be seat.
The staff were friendly but service was very slow. I had to reorder my crab cake appetizer because they forgot I ordered it. They were ok I would try something else next time.
My wife and I split the $160 Tomahawk with a side of mashed potatoes. It was delicious but hard to justify the price. My dog enjoyed the leftover bone. The side dish was unremarkable. I would come back to try something else. It is a nice place to have a special celebration.

Our daughter’s favorite so she chose Citrone for her birthday dinner with family and friends. Started at the bar with the 3 ladies enjoying unique martinis, none of which I could remember the names but they said “ yummy “. My Wyoming Bourbon Old Fashioned was perfect… not sweet but almost Manhattan like in strength, Our daughter and her girlfriend chose the Flank steak…. which by the one taste I was given somewhere way beyond excellent..done perfectly medium and medium rare it was well charred and smokey. Boyfriend had a crumb battered ( like Panko) chicken breast pounded flat like a schnitzel crusty and served on an olive oil bed. It looked amazing and he said it was. I enjoyed a pasta in a light red sauce with veal and pork meat sauce, very good. My wife had a pasta in white sauce that she described as very tasty. A pistachio gelato with a candle was shared for desert… along with I think 5 Espresso martinis. Citrones ambiance is perfect. The bar stools and dining chairs are so comfy you won’t want to leave. Considering the wonderful ambiance, moderate prices, excellent drinks, great service and food Citrone is well worth every dollar you’ll spend .
Everything is great! Our server Ethan provided excellent service while the food was perfectly made. Will be returning in the distant future.

Citrone Italian Chophouse is a beautiful restaurant that occupies the former Olive & Citrus building in Downtown Redlands. From its former location on Orange St, Citrone made a great move to this space so I was excited to make reservations and give Citrone a try.
My party and I arrived half an hour early for reservations. While my reservation was for the outdoor patio, I did let the host know we’re flexible with sitting inside - whichever section was ready first. However, we still waited 45 minutes to be seated. When the hostess approached our party, she said she would seat us in the private dining room. We were shown to an area between the kitchen and the restrooms where other Asians were seated. How odd. There was a booth in front of the bar that was empty for at least 10 minutes but wasn’t given to us. It was given to a Caucasian couple who arrived after we did but seated before we were.
As we got seated, we noticed another Asian family that was seated in the “private dining area” - they were also waiting to be seated (same reservation time as ours) earlier that evening. Weird to see that there was separation of groups…
Our server, Mary, was a sweet young lady. She was kind when taking our order but had to flag her down a couple times to refill my water - that should clue you in to how long we had to wait.
The service was super SLOW! We were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours. The pace of the food coming out was off and took longer than most restaurants. I don’t know if they had purposefully made the private dining guests wait longer than other patrons… sus.
As far as the food, we ordered the following:
* Bacon Brussel Sprouts - This was good and we shared this side as an appetizer. It would be best if it were roasted but I’m glad we had this to hold us over since the rest of the food came at a snail’s pace.
* Corn Agnolotti - The flavor had a natural sweetness from the corn and the pasta was cooked al dente. Flavor-wise, it was lacking something else on top of the truffle butter sauce. I think the sweetness from the corn made it harder to finish the dish. The presentation could be better, too.
* Tartufata - This had the perfect pizza crust. Light and slightly floppy. The wild mushrooms with truffle oil, pecorino, and mozzarella cheese were a good combination.
* Tagliatelle alla Bolognese - This was disappointing. While the tagliatelle was homemade, it was also overcooked, which made the pasta less appetizing. It is supposed to have wagyu beef, veal and pork in its sauce but seemed nonexistent. The whole dish just did not taste good.
I don’t mind paying for quality food but - let’s just say, Citrone wasn’t worth it.
We left underwhelmed. The food wasn’t special, the service was slow, the price doesn’t justify the food, and the experience was less than desirable. At least I know why I was never drawn to Citrone and why I cannot recommend them. It’s such a shame.

Sadly, I didn't took pictures. But it was an excellent dinner with my husband. We had the spanish octopus and garlic bread as appetizers. I ordered the Halibut with leek pure and crispy potatoes. My husband got the lamb chops, everything was delicious. Tiramisu for dessert. Our server Many was attentive and checked on us often outside in the patio.

Food is good, and service is good. Also there's a lot of vegan food on the menu that sounds good. Very good place to enjoy a nice dinner with your friends or partners.

What a gem I found, while I had to stop to charge my car, just across the street. It turned out to be an amazing experience. Not only did the kitchen make me some food at closing, but the service was wonderful,! They served the most delicious non alcoholic champagne ( I had a long drive in front of me) they even had real Espresso and served it like in Italy, with brown sugar and a slice of lemon! Honestly, I didn’t believe the sophistication. And the bar tender was local , born and raised. Please stop here on your way to Palm Springs ! It is so worth it.

I was looking forward to going out and trying this place as it looks lovely from the outside and menu photos were tempting. So we booked a reservation for my husband's birthday but sadly it did not live up to expectations. Food took forever to come out and when it did some dishes were lukewarm. Pizza was also extremely wet in the middle and soggy while my pumpkin ravioli was way too sweet. Luckily my husband's steak was good, but for the price it should be.

Would have given it a 5 star , we were having a great time after dinner with my friend, when our saver walked up to us and was told to leave because our table has been reserved, was a little odd, it least I know my self family and friends will not be going back.
