If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food, then this spot is perfect for you. The food is delicious, I got the Oxtail plate with red beans and rice, sweet plantains and coconut water. My friend had the Jambalaya and she said it was delicious as well. The beignets are nice but sometimes they can be a bit soggy due to

Super bummed drove all the way from Victorville to only get to the restaurant and find out it was temporarily close. It didn’t say anything on the site about being closed. Was excited to try it after reading all the reviews! Hopefully it opens soon!

I ordered curry chicken and even though it was super hot, it didn't appear to be fresh. It looked like it had been reheated s couple times and it was very salty. I couldn't eat it. Normally my food is good and fresh but that day was a waste of my money. But the beignets were good!!

First time visiting. The food was very good. Fast service clean, and great waiter. I was referred to this place and was not let down. Great place for date night. I will be referring myself to family and friends and will be returning. Pricing was not to bad also.

We were looking for something different and definitely found it. We experienced new flavor combinations that we had never had and they were amazing. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the very friendly atmosphere. Food was wonderful! We came early so we had the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits with mango tea. The servings were large! It was so good we added an order to go of the oxtail dinner, greens, and mac and cheese, along with beignets, oh and corn bread. Everything was delicious even hours later when we ate it! We definitely will return to have brunch this time with mimosas! Or maybe dinner, but definitely will be back. We have a few more things we want to try.

We visited Dhat Island tonight for my daughter's birthday. This was not our first time here, but it'll probably be our last. The first time we went was amazing, fresh and very good. This time we got the wings, baby Bello mushrooms for appetizers, and those were delicious. They came out fresh and hot. Our meals were not fresh. The seafood gumbo smelled horribly fishy and was way over salted. My jerk chicken was ok, but the plantains were cold and dry. There were 5 of us and all of us left with stomach aches. The only good things were the appetizers, beignets and the service. Sean was great and very attentive.

Let me tell you something about this place. It is good enough to travel 3250km from my ice encrusted house in northern Canada to this wonderfully tasty piece of Caribbean fantasticness. I would travel like as least 14km more for this food, it is that good. (Sorry for the metric my American friends, it equals roughly 1290 moose per beaver)

The location and the Servers are very nice and I enjoyed my time there.I believe I had the jerk chicken and it wasn't for me. I'm not a particularly picky eater either, it wasn't bad or bland, just not for me. The rice and beans however felt a little plain tasting which was unusual especially since I go to lots of Islander Restaurants. It's been a long minute since I've gone, so I'd be willing to try it again if the mood strikes.

Let me start by saying this is a very good restaurant and the food is delicious.

I went there on November 4th 2023 dinner service so it would be after 5:00 p.m. Me and my fiance ordered the red snapper as it is always in the past been very good and when I say very good I mean excellent. However; This time the snapper was highly overcooked The first time I had it the skin was fried well and the meat fell off the bones. We were greatly disappointed especially since this particular item is based on market value so it's usually a little higher than most things on the menu. I have no problem at all for paying more if the quality is there. A $36 per order snapper should be cooked to perfection each and every time. Sorry to say on this occasion The food was not up to standards of this restaurant.

Now; before you try to write them off or say oh no I'm not going there That is not the purpose of this review. I plan on going back again and again because the other menu items are just wonderful and very flavorful One of my favorite items is the chicken sticky wings, or the salmon with the Caribbean sauce on the side. My future brother-in-law his wife ordered the gumbo and the oxtails and they were outstanding Good flavor and they're looking forward to going back.

The only reason I did not return the fish I didn't want to see any of the employees get in trouble because the service is great. Our servicer was EZ he is a lot of fun and always has a clean corny little joker too.

On a personal note the owner is a very nice gentleman always respectful and always stops in and talks to the customers That's one thing I love about is the personal service so hopefully they'll work on that red snapper item and bring it back up to where it was other than that this restaurant is one of my favorites.

The food and customer service are absolutely amazing. I only wish there would be better communication of their hours. maybe a post saying they aren't open on a certain holiday or something letting us know when hours are adjusted for catering events.
