First time trying this place, and it was a hit! Machete taco was amazing, soup, taco plate, beans, and rice and even the chips were all delicious!!! Also had good beers on tap and micheladas and agua fresca were great too. Definitely would recommend and will be back.

One of my favorite restaurants in Redlands! I order takeout from this place a lot because the food is so good and it keeps me full on a busy work day! The food is fresh and offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes that I have never tried before. I am a creature of habit and tend to order the same dishes, such as their huaraches with black beans, chicken, and mushrooms. However, I recently tried their breakfast and it was so delicious! Their cafe de olla is so comforting and perfect for any morning! One of these mornings when it is a little warmer out I will definitely have breakfast on their gorgeous patio! I did see heaters but it was also raining the morning that I went. The team at Machete is also so kind, caring, and considerate. This is a place I can’t recommend enough to friends and family ?

Healthy Mexican food that’s tasty! Burritos are too expensive but it’s ok I guess. Nice ambiance and friendly service! I am satisfied. :)

My first time here, I had bistec empanada, chicken empanada plus carnita empanada very fresh made nd delicious! with a cold strawberry watermelon drink that if you come on brunch time you get it included with your meal . DEFINITELY NOT A TYPICAL FAST FOOD. Homemade empanadas, tortillas handmade the drinks are not artificial flavors original natural flavor. I also loved eating outside at patio it was very calmed nd peacefull, I can feel relax listening to the waterfall they had outside. The service was great nd the staff was friendly.

Here's the crux of it: The food is delicious, but the environment and the serving size do not equate to the exorbitant prices. The owners/cooks clearly care about the quality of their food. It is truly delicious and prepared with care. But when you get a bean and cheese burrito and a small cup of esquites for $16.50, I'd expect it to resemble what I'd get at a full-service restaurant, WITH a side of guac and sour cream and maybe even a beverage. The burrito itself, was, as expected, delicious, but was SUCH little filling, the burrito was 3-4 layers of tortilla with a smidge of grilled cheese, very little beans, and a generous scoop of pico de gallo. Unfortunately, despite being told the tortilla used was a 14" tortilla, once folded, it was smaller than a simple bean & cheese from Taco Bell or Del Taco... which one can get for less than $2 (ADMITTEDLY with far cheaper and poorly prepared ingredients). If the fillings had filled the tortilla size, and made for a hearty, generous burrito, I'd likely consider this one of the best bean & cheese burritos in the area. As it stands, you can get far more food, for 1/2 the cost at any of the other local mom-and-pop Mexican spots. The side of esquites was tasty, but I would've hoped for grilled corn for this price. What I received was previously frozen corn from a bag then microwaved or boiled with a smattering of cheese & crema. If cheaper/simpler ingredients are going to be used, use a larger serving size to make up for the higher cost. The interior of the restaurant is clean and simple, but it is not a full-service environment. You order at a counter and then pickup your food from the counter. It is neat that you're able to watch the chef prepare the food through a glass window looking into the kitchen. The service is kind, friendly and easy to work with - however, when ordering I had to repeat my (seemingly) simple order multiple times as they kept on attempting to add ingredients to it I did not want. This spot IS worth eating at, provided you can get past their small portions and high prices.Parking: Although it may be difficult to find parking right up next to the restaurant, there is plenty of parking in the adjacent parking lot.

One of the best breakfast tortas I've ever had. Everything from the soft bread to the salsas that they included on the side were 10/10. I think this place is a hidden gem bc they know what they're doing and it was empty on a Saturday! Smh. Pls give this place a chance and try the breakfast torta!!

Not your typical taqueria. I love that they offer some delicious regional flavors. If you are looking for tasty, slightly different options, and/or if you like more seafood taqueria options, this is the place. I wasn't expecting the empanadas to be made fresh to order, and the coffee included with breakfast is tasty. I like that their menu isn't enormous because it allows them to focus on fewer things and do them really, really well.A few of our favorites are: their molletes with chorizo (a simple breakfast of crusty bread with refried black beans, cheese and chorizo), the breakfast torta with chorizo (not the giant tortas you find other places but the bread and flavorful fillings really shine), tacos de papa, empanadas with carnitas, but everything we have had has been great. Their sides are few but yummy. I'm usually not a black bean fan, preferring pinto beans, but I really enjoy their black beans. They also serve platanos con crema as well as esquites. The esquites very well may be made with canned or frozen corn but they doctor it up to be a really delicious side.I highly recommend this taqueria. Plan on going several times to try some of their more interesting and less common menu items. You can get a burrito anywhere, and while theirs is wonderful, you won't find some of their offerings at many places in town. It has become our go to place for Mexican food here in Redlands.

Food was fresh and delicious. The menu is simple and caters to the north and south of Mexico. Please educate yourself about the cuisine of the area because this is not your average taco shack. The potato tacos had a generous amount of potatoes and the tortilla was light and crispy. The shrimp burrito was so good that the boyfriend barely talked . We will definitely be back.

They did open up 15 minutes late but other than that it was wonderful. Food was delicious. I had a breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, beans and chorizo. Came with a wonderful traditional style Mexican coffee that was wonderful!! My friends salad is her favorite salad anywhere with chicken and tasty dressing. We'll definitely go back. Nice seating outside with plenty of space. The two men working there were very kind and attentive.

Loved the Machete with AL pastor . The Mexican coffee was bomb . A little pricey , but worth it . I mean , I would've spent a lot more elsewhere.
