Birthday dinner. Party of 5. The restaurant was very accommodating as we needed to change our reservation last minute and they gave us a different table we preferred upon our arrival. Food was outstanding. We had steak, risotto, pasta, some seafood and appetizers. We loved everything, esp. the appetizers. Cocktails were very good too. Lovely evening - but no birthday treat.

Outdoor, indoor and bar seating with great ambiance all around. The food is great, I would recommend the Loup De Mer which is Mediterranean fish and the beet hummus appetizer. The food is generally a little pricey for what you get but not extreme.

So sad to say that this place used to be one of my favorite places to go in Redlands. Unfortunately, it seems their management and/or owners have absconded, and left the place to a bunch of staff members who don’t care if the whole place goes up in flames.I don’t think I’ve seen a more poorly run establishment. And now that their food quality has gone down, as well, this review seemed long overdue. We waited about two hours for our entrees to arrive, with no updates from our waitress. We finally asked her if perhaps they had forgotten about us, and she seemed offended and told us that there were some delays due to a large party. Didn’t seem to care at all that we’d been waiting patiently for so long. She didn’t even offer to take something off our bill or give us a complimentary dessert (I’m not someone who tries or expects to get free stuff, but this was an exceptional situation where any well-run place would’ve done something nice to inspire us to return). Finally our food arrived, and it wasn’t even good. The pasta dish was so oily I couldn’t eat much of it. And the prices for this place are out of this world- I’ve gone to nicer restaurants on the coast for less money, with exceptionally better service. If you want to charge high prices, in the inland empire, you really need to have exceptional service and high quality dishes. Don’t waste your time and money here. We won’t be back.

This place looks nice, but I just don't love the service. On several occasions I've had a waitress that had attitude toward the busing staff, because I asked their opinion on the menu. The same waitress argued with me when she brought the wrong order. Not a great way to get a tip.I don't think this second point is true for all bartenders here, but the last bartender was the pits. He didn't know how to make soda and bitters, and he was really challenged when my friend ordered the spicy margarita off their menu.

This place is expensive, the food is good, but the service is extremely slow. We waited for an hour for our food to come. They offered us no compensation for this ridiculous wait. Where was the management? Where were the owners? We will never go back here.

Where in California do you find casual calm and 100% of what foodies are looking for? Handsomely sat at the junction of Olive and Citrus streets in Redlands, this kitchen is as formidable as the front of house is unpretentious. When the courteous staff offer you a choice of seating, start at the bar: the mixologists can produce exactly what you’re looking for after only a few polite questions, and then use carefully-curated alcohols to produce classic or original drinks. The thoughtful wine list has been assembled by the owner and serial restaurant empresario Nabil Ayoub, and this cellar is varied, subtle and under-valued. If the décor remembers the classic steakhouses of West Hollywood, the menu is accessible and varied (I ordered one of a few steak choices on the menu, the Wagyu 5oz which was perfectly proportioned, grilled by a yakiniku-master, and was so flavourful that I had to hide the expression on my face). The lobster pasta, jointly designed by Executive Chef Leila Ayoub and Nabil, produces a similar effect: so often lobster is dry and chewy like a cuticle, but here it is soft, tastes of lobster, and is accented by other elements both obvious and not. An unusual feature of the restaurant is the offering of vegetables grown by the family or those known to the Ayoubs, and which arrive without much adornment, to be enjoyed for what they are: vegetables that taste as they are supposed to. The tomatoes are ripe, have notes of anis or orange, and pack an umami punch (they also look beautiful while they’re at it). The same approach is taken with seafood: oysters are crisp and come with delicious sauce innovations the ingredients of which I could only guess at, but the Hamachi crudo, generously cut, was of a calibre and flavor that I have never – no kidding – never tasted before. Desserts are both healthy-seeming and fresh; ask for anything accompanied by coffee cream (you’ll thank me). The prices are pitched at the local community, of which the Ayoubs are a pillar, which is far from the over-priced watering holes of LA because this is Redlands… and if you don’t know where it is, you need to look up.

Great place for fine dining. Bread and butter to start w olives. Market Greens Salad was fresh and tasty. The combination of rigotini pesto pasta and the kurobota pork chop completed the meal. The pasta was cooked al dente with a good balance of flavors from the pesto, ricotta, tomatoes and pine nuts. The pork chop was cooked to perfection.

When this restaurant opened several years ago, it was admired for its food but criticized for its pricing--specifically, having to pay for bread! Within a few months things had been adjusted and it was routinely packed--expensive, but worth it. Tonight a friend and I went for a celebratory dinner. Glasses of wine were $14. Starters averaged $20. For a main, I ordered the scallops--for $42, i got. . . .3 scallops and a lemon wedge. No garnish, no sides! I wound up ordering $14 mushrooms, which, to be fair, were enough for two. Fortunately, as my companion's pasta was a modest serving. Oh, and we paid $12 for a small loaf of bread with butter and a few olives. Desserts were generous and delicious. . .and expensive. And guess what? The restaurant was half empty. They got it wrong to start, corrected it and seemed to be successful, and now it just isn't acceptable value. Three scallops! For $42 I could have gone to Gerrards and bought 2 pounds, and had a scallop feast every day of the week!!! I hope management rethinks things because the building is beautiful and the restaurant could be a treasure.

Attended a bridal shower brunch yesterday. Simply amazing! The food was over the top delicious. The staff was gracious and attentive even with our large and loud group. Would highly recommend Olive & Citrus for group events. And will be back for dinner with friends soon.

I would say that the food was perfectly cooked. It was our first time. The flavors were good. the ambiance was nice. I did feel it was a bit over priced for what we ordered. we ordered appetizers, 1 alcoholic drink and the main entrees. it was 250.00 bill and i have eaten at places that I was blown away with their presentations, tastes, textures and quality. This felt pretty average not bad but pretty average.

The Craftsman style building fits right into this Redlands neighborhood. Delicious, seasonal offerings from land and sea. Fantastic cocktails.

Excellent comfortable atmosphere inside where my sister & I enjoyed catching up with a friend we hadn't seen in years! We had delicious (australian) steak. She had fish dinner & our friend had NY Steak. The service was wonderful and the cheese appetizers were delicious as well as the red wine. Overall a wonderful experience that I cannot wait to visit again :)
