Truly enjoyed our Christmas luncheon, 3 generations Grandmother, Mother and Daughter. It was fabulous. Service was spot on! Brussel sprouts and bacon wrapped dates, the bomb! Shrim tacos delicious. Afterwards we walked up and down state street and did some Christmas shopping. It was just a magical day! I will go back to tThe State for date day wwith the Hubs and try other delicacies! Thank you for making our event so special!

Our large group was warmly received and service was excellent. We were present on Taco Tuesday with a variety of delicious food choices and excellent margaritas. Prices were reasonable. Our group was especially pleased with the short rib tacos, wedge salads with tender chicken, and extraordinary margaritas. The atmosphere is lively.

My experience was otherworldly, the service was magical, and the drinks took me on a trip. picture this and bare with me for a moment, shh now close your eyes. You're handed a drink that you asked the handsome bartender to surprise you with and you take that first sip and you're taken back to that moment in your life where you first felt love? You know when your heart was 1 and not broken in 2 or maybe 15 like mine (don't wanna get into that) but I think you're picking up what I'm putting down or probably not (I'm really strong lol) anyways as I transcended and came back twice and opened my eyes, the expression I had on my face surely portrayed gratitude as mine and the bartender (Scottie) eyes locked and we both let out a heterosexual grin as to not misconstrue any feelings here and he said softly ādid you enjoy thatā as I stared at him āmiddle of the oceanā by Drake started playing and I let out a chuckle. Yes Scottie that was excellent as he cleaned the same glass with a handkerchief like they do in movies for 5 minutes straight. Glass clean enough there bud? We both laughed. Yes Scottie that drink was heavenly, can I have more cherries to go with the drink as I spun the heavenly liquid in my glass as he retrieved them. He turns around with a couple in his hand and said āyou ready?ā I said for what and he said āopen up we like to have fun around hereā he proceeds to put them in his mouth and spit them towards me with precision, lands in my drink likes he's done this before. Bravo as I clapped vigorously with a tear streaming down my face. Now the crazy part is that during this time there was another bartender who watched this spectacle from start to finish holding an ice cube. Erica was her name I believe? She sat there in silence and awe as she was almost invisible to us during the Disney moment Scottie and I shared. I will be returning as often as possible. 5 stars.

went here to eat with severe food allergies. told them no cheese on my burger. it took almost an hour to come out and when it did it had cheese on it . asked them to remake it took them almost 30 minutes and by that time i couldnāt eat because my eating medication already wore off . wouldnāt recommend to anyone with food allergies.

Came here with a friend for dinner. Lovely place and staff were great. We chose the bacon wrapped dates! Didn't think I'd like them. They were delicious. In fact I raved about them! We enjoyed every bite with the main course and loved the cocktails. I only wish I lived closer!

The State is the best. Date night, dinner with the kids, or celebrating special events, the State is out favorite spot. Delicious food at a great price point.

My boyfriend and I visited last night, and while the atmosphere was nice, the experience left us disappointed. Weāre a biracial couple heās white, Iām Black and the difference in how we were treated compared to other guests was hard to ignore.
The restaurant wasnāt busy at all we were one of only three couples sitting on the patio. The manager, Brittany, was very attentive and friendly with the other couples but noticeably distant with us. At first, I thought maybe it was because we hadnāt ordered food yet and were just having drinks. But when she brought my second drink, she simply set it on the table without saying a word or acknowledging us, then walked away. My boyfriend and I looked at each other wondering what the issue was.
Our waitress was polite and even suggested a drink for my boyfriend, which we appreciated. He ordered me the short rib tacos, but after about 20 minutes, she came back only to ask if he was ready to order food. He said no, but by then, my tacos still hadnāt arrived. Another 20 minutes and a third round of drinks later still no food. With the restaurant nearly empty, there was really no reason for the delay, so we decided to leave.
Itās disappointing to spend money somewhere and still feel overlooked and uncomfortable. Every guest deserves to feel welcomed and respected regardless of who they are or who theyāre with. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to ensure consistent, respectful service for everyone.

We went here and got sat right away, so that was great. Our waitress came over got our drink order and left. Another person brought our drinks, we waited for 20 min and no waitress, I stopped a person working (maybe a manager) I told him we are in a hurry and no waitress has came over for about 20 min ā¦ finally another waitress came, apologized and said our waitress went on break and didnāt tell anyone. She took our order, we received our food. My husband ordered onion rings did not receive them. We ate. Our first waitress came back, my husband told her I ordered onion rings I did not get themā¦she apologized. She dropped off the check. The onion rings were on it. He went up and told the cashier, we paid and left. We will never go back. The service (that waitress )is awful. At every restaurant Iāve ever been to the waitress will come over to the table and introduce the new person who will be taking over for themā¦not just vanish and leave the table with no one.
