Came down here with my wife on a Friday night and tried their Asian Thai salad and chicken noodle soup and also tried two of their mixed drinks from soda pop; they were pretty delicious and refreshing. They have a large variety to choose from.
Grabbed a salad to go and it was good. I would go back.
Went for the custard, got a giant mess. Out of stock on a lot of items, the menu TVs were so dark you could read them and the online version didn’t load. All they had was a ripped up paper menu that wasn’t helpful at all.
Registers weren’t working, was told to keep bouncing around to different ones to pay. They put a lot of custard in my cup, too much! It overflowed and the lid they used I had to take off and spill the custard all over just to eat. And they used caramel instead of butterscotch. Maybe it’s better on a weekend or when it’s busy, but on a Monday for lunch it was rough.
Great space and atmosphere, loved the inside. Wished the other restaurants were open.
Red Ginger salad: iceberg lettuce fresh and crisp as were the wontons. The dressing was tangy and delicious. However, the chicken? Was it chicken? Was it just old and chewy? I’m not sure.
I like this place. I had a Build your own sandwich, cherry mix sprite, and cilantro lime rice. I enjoyed the sandwich very much. There's a lot of seats and a variety of options to eat. Mexican, Hawaiian, Sandwiches, Ice Cream and Milkshakes. You can order from whatever register from all the cuisines and it will all go to you.
Theron's Deli really knocked it out of the park! The worker at the deli, wish I got her name, went out of her way to make me a DELICIOUS lettuce wrapped sandwich.
I love Theron's! I usually got the mandarin orange salad (mmmm, goat cheese). But as I'm pregnant and trying to avoid soft cheeses, I've had the wonton salad and the red ginger salad. All are giant and tasty, but today I felt like a sandwich.
I've been told to avoid deli meat or to cook it, so I asked for my sandwich to have the meat on the side, if possible. I knew it was a weird ask, but keeping it separate would help me heat it up easier. And they totally did it and with a cute message!!!! So amazing!! I'll definitely keep coming back since it's just a couple blocks from my office and they're always ready fast.
I also love the custard options, hehe.
(The photo of my microwaved to death meat is not appetizing and is my doing, so I've omitted that, but I did attach the photo of the cooked meat in the sandwich to show it came out beautifully!)
1st experience was amazing. Today we went and no one even spoke to us. 3 employees and not one of them came to help us. We left after standing at the counter for roughly 5 minutes and after all the employees vanished.
I think the custard and sandwiches are delightful. I am a huge fan of the grove, the Boars Head meat really elevates them. The Hawaiian bowls are also surprisingly good also. The beef teriyaki with rice is a simple yet filling snack. Only downside is sometimes things are forgotten in orders, or messed up. Now the layout is not pleasant at all. Furniture is falling apart, the separate stalls, and the strange decor choices. They don’t match the vibe of Theron’s, which honestly I don’t even know what that is.
I thought I would try coming here a few times before giving it a review and each time I have been thoroughly disappointed. If you're willing...I strongly recommend making the drive to Fontana for Freddy's Custard as it's better, you get more bang for your buck and it isn't served as a mess. For starters, their "mix-ins" shouldn't be called "mix-ins". They never mix them in, they're toppings. Secondly, I paid 8 bucks total even with extra "mix-ins" and the topping portion was minimal. If you don't really care about Custard all that much and thought of trying it, don't waste your time. Dairy Queen has a similar product for half of the price. If you're set on Custard, drive to Freddy's. I'll also mention that the layout of the place is very weird and almost feels uninviting. I personally wouldn't recommend Theron's.

I wanted to give this place a fair review, so I came a few times before writing this. First, I'll say the staff is the best part of the business. Very friendly and nice. On the other hand, the food was forgettable. Tried the custard, flavored sodas, Hawaiian, and tacos. I think the best way to describe the food is "not bad", but also not great. The Hawaiian was very salty. The custard wasn't amazing. It actually tastes like banana even though I didn't order anything with banana (this was on two separate occasions). The tacos were just ok. I also found the food court concept here kind of confusing. You can apparently order from anywhere, but I only really saw staff in one location. So I wasn't sure if that was the preferred place to order or if the other places were closed? Maybe a sign as you walk in describing the process would help...I don't need to return, but if you haven't tried it, go for it. Others seem to love it.
