We've gone here for about 20 years and love the food, the service, etc. The people who work here are wonderful.

Great sushi and great service

Top-notch fish at a surprisingly low price. The chefs are dedicated to crafting meals that are as visually stunning as they are tasty. After your first visit, you’ll definitely be coming back for more—I certainly was!

Food was blah. Lots of rice little fish 34 bucks out the door with food and tip, which was their lunch special two rolls and a three-piece salmon sushi.

Based on ratings I was hoping for more but overall it was as the hospital food version of Sushi.

1/5 Stars - Appalling Experience, Discrimination & Disrespect

My family and I were left feeling humiliated, disrespected, and utterly disappointed after our second visit to this sushi place. The servers' shocking behavior has left a sour taste in our mouths.

We were initially told to "sit anywhere," but soon after, we were abruptly asked to leave due to supposed seating arrangements. The real reason, however, remains unclear. Was it discrimination? Ethnicity-based profiling? The uncertainty only adds to our outrage.

The female server's cold, unfriendly demeanor made our experience even more unbearable. Her dismissive attitude and complete lack of empathy were staggering.

As paying customers, we deserved respect, courtesy, and basic human decency. Instead, we were treated like unwanted intruders.

To the management: If you genuinely care about your customers, take immediate action!

1. Hire staff who value diversity and inclusivity.
2. Provide comprehensive training on customer service, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
3. Ensure your establishment welcomes ALL patrons, regardless of background.

Until then, we'll take our business (and appetite) elsewhere.

*Warning:* Potential customers, beware of discriminatory practices and subpar service.

Additional Incident - Harassment & Intimidation*

After sharing my previous review about the poor service and potential discrimination at this sushi place, I received a disturbing message from Susan, allegedly affiliated with the business.

Susan's message was condescending, dismissive, and shockingly aggressive. She labeled me a "nasty fellow" for speaking out about our legitimate concerns and accused me of "victimizing" myself.

Her tone was appalling, and her words reeked of gaslighting and intimidation. It's unacceptable for a business representative to:

1. Personalize criticism
2. Dismiss customer concerns
3. Use derogatory language
4. Attempt to silence and belittle

Susan's actions demonstrate a profound lack of empathy, professionalism, and respect for customers.

*New Demands:*

1. Public apology from Susan and the business
2. Immediate termination of Susan's affiliation with the business
3. Comprehensive customer service training for all staff
4. Implementation of a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and intimidation

*Updated Rating:* -5/5 Stars (if possible)

*Warning:* Potential customers, beware of this business's toxic culture, discriminatory practices, and harassment of customers who speak out. Be careful with this restaurant

I've been going here for 20 years and never left a review. The food has always been delicious. The staff has always been friendly. My mom had hip surgery, and they brought the food to us in the car. I will always go here.

Best place for sushi in Redlands. Hands down. I have yet to order a bad roll or sashimi.. can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Love this place.

I hate writing this because I usually like writing positive reviews... but... We just walked out. My partner and I went across the street to Starbucks and we decided on the walk back we wanted sushi.

Upon entering, this young woman asked us where we'd like to sit. I interrupted her and asked if it was okay to bring in our drinks. She nodded and we asked to sit at the sushi bar in the back.

Upon sitting, a second woman asked us if we'd like menus. We said yes and she made a comment about our drinks in a playful way. Something along the lines of, "Whoa, Starbucks, this late?" We chuckled and stepped away.

A young man approached the bar shortly after and asked if he could get us drinks. I replied, "just two waters, please."

He brought back two waters and then said, "Like most restaurants, we don't allow food or drinks from outside." I told him that we had asked the young woman up front and he immediately went to the second server and brought her to the bar so she could confirm in front of us that drinks were not allowed from outside.

At this point, I felt like we should leave. Both his tone and demeanor felt aggressive. I didn't argue that against their policy, I simply said we asked ahead of time.

When the second woman confirmed, I stupidly said, "No, not her. The gal from the front." He then said she was new and it was her first day. Then left the bar and reprimanded her in Korean right next to us.

I FELT SO BAD FOR THIS GIRL. No one cared about the drinks except for him. I felt awful for the young sever who just started there. I felt bad for even wanting to eat there.

He said, "She's new and didn't know but now we've got that all sorted out." Who cares? What a jerk. We got up and left. I've never felt so gross at a restaurant in such a short period of time. I'm so sorry I even told that guy that she allowed the drinks.

There's a nice way to handle things but this guy had some sort of power trip about the drinks and would not let it go. I say this VERY sarcastically: great vibes man, keep it up!
