Was really hoping to finally have a Chinese restaurant to replace the closed Lotus Garden but sadly no. The decor is classic but the food was off with weird flavor.

We tried this restaurant after wanting to for a while. Food was junk. We should be given our money back $56 dollars.

Ordered beef Lo Mein noodles sautéed with sliced beef, cabbage, carrots, and bean sprouts, typically includes a savory sauce. Ordered chicken egg foo young which is a Chinese egg omelette with chicken and gravy. The lo mein was just beef and noodles only. No vegetables or savory sauce. The egg foo young was alright, but no gravy. It was more like a soup was poured over it. Chicken lettuce wraps had more bean sprouts than chicken and chicken had lots of byproduct. Food is not good. Will not be going back. Very unfortunate.

I don't know what happened, It was just terrible. The food wasn't fresh. It had weird flavor or none at all. The lemonade was extremely watered down. The honey walnut shrimp had a lemon flavor and was barely warm. Orange chicken was old crunch with dried out chicken. Moo shu beef was mostly bean sprouts and flavorless. Shrimp lo mein was plain. I don't know why they would serve anyone food like this. The inside was lovely, that's the only thing good I can say.

Start with the positive. Service was nice, felt like a happy family owned place. The Delicious:Rice was perfect, just like mom would make it.Mongolian Beef spicy, wasn't really spicy, but had great flavor and texture, especially the zucchini.Egg flower soup was well balanced, a great portion for the price and hot (temperature wise)The super disappointing:Honey walnut chicken- powdery and not crispy also barely any sauce, mostly poorly dressed.Chow mein was flavorless. I had to add some sauce I had in the fridge just to get some satisfaction.Steamed Dumplings were not like pictured but more like gyoza, really wet like not steam wet but like boiled? Not sure what happened there, but definitely not dumpling I expect. The flavor of the inside wasn't bad once your dipped it in a bunch of sauce.Total cost before tip after tax $61

Great family owned and run restaurant. They are always so friendly. Food is always top notch, even when they're busy and there's only 1 cook. I come here with my girlfriend almost weekly. Genuinely nice people making genuinely good food. I love this place.

Hands down the best Chinese food in the IE! Family owned, super fresh ingredients and you never have the heavy tired feeling afterward. Definitely a must try!
