Kava Bar LA & Botanical Lounge

I was very skeptical first. I decided to give it a shot as a substitution for alcohol. And I gotta say, it blew my mind. Erica shared tons of information about Kava and the effects. After drinking the recommended drinks, she was NOT wrong! It’s delicious and highly recommend anyone to try it! Definitely see myself coming back!

Kava is super water downed and weak. Drank more than 1/4 gallon. Owners were nice and drinks tasted good but I go there to feel the kava and never did.
Would maybe go back for a tasty drink but never again for their kava and thought it was a kava bar for a reason.

This used to be a very neat place. They don't serve food but at least they had a cool bohemian vibe. But I went there today to see if they were still open and they kicked me out and told me my kind was not welcome there and gave me no specific reason even though id never had a back interactionwith them. I have been told by other friends of color especially black friends that they have been kicked out recently for just existing, but I guess I just didn't believe it until I experienced it for myself. What a shame how hateful people will become given the opportunity to discriminate.

I’ve been meaning to review this spot. It’s definitely a gem. The owners are awesome and very informative to those who haven’t tried kava before. I’ve been coming for some time now, I normally order the Kava batch to go. It’s so delicious alone. I love the earthy flavor. I have yet to try the all the flavors on the menu. I recommend!! 10/10

Whether you like Kava, coffee, meeting new people, having new experiences, arcade gaming, darts or just hanging out with your friends socializing, this place has it all! I was skeptical at first because it is out of my comfort zone, but the staff was so welcoming and friendly that they eased my anxiety near instantly. The atmosphere is very bar-like with an arcade blend and a patio. The drinks are reasonably priced, and definitely worth the taste, especially the Neptune, Pink Bliss and the Kava Shot. They also host events open to the public and I'm excited to see what those are like. The vibe is very relaxed and the atmosphere is pleasant. My only point of personal preference is to turn the lights a little brighter, but outside of that this place is a solid 9.5/10.

I would recommend anyone that is over 18 to check this place out, and bring your friends. Bula!

Suuuper chill place. Everyone is so friendly and respectful. I loved hanging out at the night market and meeting local artists. And tasty kava drinks!
