If you’re craving authentic Salvadorian cuisine, Mis Raices is an absolute must-try! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of homemade flavors makes it clear this place takes its food seriously. The menu is packed with delicious options — but the pupusas are the real star. They’re made fresh to order with just the right balance of masa and savory fillings like revuelta (beans, cheese, and chicharrón) or cheese with loroco, and they come with perfectly tangy curtido and salsa that elevate every bite. Food is made fresh and you can hear the ladies making the pupusas.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. While the restaurant is cozy (and can get busy at peak times), the food and overall experience more than make up for it. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions you get.

We visited Mis Raíces Restaurant, and even though we are not Salvadorian, we were truly impressed by the way they run this place. From the moment we walked in, the owner made us feel right at home. The restaurant has that comforting “home” feeling — the food is homemade, fresh, and full of the flavors that remind you of a grandmother’s kitchen.
They went above and beyond, even offering us tastes of different dishes so we could experience more of their cuisine. Their menu is extensive, and we will definitely be coming back to continue exploring it.
Thank you for the wonderful service. Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant. Accurate Salvadoran flavor. I highly recommend stopping by and eating some pupusas with horchata!
I liked this place!
I get the especial de desayuno at least once a week, sometimes twice. It comes with coffee included which is a nice bonus.
Food is good, rice pupusas are $5.00 so be aware. Platanos plate doesn't serve enough beans for the amount charged.

Solid pupusas. They have daily special for each day of the week and local Salvadorians make up most of their business. Do the math.

I just picked up food here.
Parking: the lot was pretty dirty
I like this place customer service, however I want to make a comment regarding the Salvadorean tamales, the first time I bought some they were delicious, second time they were okay, today they were not good at all. I think the owner should have the same person doing the tamales so they could taste the same.
Best popusa in the San Fernando Valley!!
