Servers were nice but the food was extremely disappointing. Salad was okay. Pizza was undercooked / doughy and the toppings fell off everytime we tried to grab a slice. Ordered breadsticks we never got. Nachos were the worst of all. Not a single whole chip on the entire plate, they dumped the bottom of the bag onto the plate so it was full of crumbs, toppings added that I asked to not be on there, gross canned plasticky cheese, and the portion was tiny. Even my kids wouldn’t eat it. I expected much more for the high price, not worth it at all!

My wife and I lived in China Lake in 1976-1977 when I was in the Navy. We still have fond memories of John's s Pizza...especially the shrimp pizza, large and cut into small squares. If we know someone going to Ridgecrest, we always recommend this restaurant! Bravo for John's Pizza!! Richard Reed, M.D., Kingsport, Tennessee

They need to work a little harder at keeping the giant teens out of the toddlers jungle gym. The littles cannot go in with the old people in there

Virginia is an awesome waitress! Even with our huge group that saunters in a few at a time, she keeps track and is on top of it. She's polite and fun as well. Just wish they would get rid of the TVs. They are more of a distraction than anything. Breadsticks are ALWAYS delicious.

Parking: Parking is a huge lot adjacent to the building. Plenty of room , even for large groups.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are handled well, and there is a huge playroom to entice them. There is also a party room for special occasions.

Used to go here all the time as a kid, even had many birthday parties here, but stopped when I was an adult and the new pizza sauce gave me heartburn. That was years upon years ago, and doesn't reflect the current restaurant, just offering an explanation of why I haven't returned in a while.

I came back sometime last year, and left after a major health fiasco that shut the place down. Returned this year in good faith, after the health department okayed their reopening.

So far, no problems with food. Pizza's alright, breadsticks and honey butter still as good as I remembered them. We always get the China Lake pizza with mushrooms, and I know it's gone in seconds.

But they never seem to repair their arcade machines, and a lot of the Fun Factory was in disrepair when we visited last night.

Last summer, the Hydro Thunder cabinet was unplayable due to a blurry screen, and that issue hasn't been fixed since last year. One of the buttons on the Marvel vs Capcom 2 is still non-func. Someone stole most of the balls out of the Fireball Skee Ball machine, leaving only three, and the other, blue basketball one didn't work, only eating Credits.

There's a third machine between the two, but it's only had a Coming Soon sign on it since last year, never going into service.

I think a Yamaha motorbike machine has gone missing since last year, too, and a Harley Davidson machine has a large patch of chipped paint with visible rust underneath on the back of the seat.

A Sky Target game has been non-operational since last year.

Just half the arcade is down, and it's dismaying to see the machines not fixed at all. DDR has always worked, and so has Bust-a-Move, Crazy Taxi, Kart GP, Mortal Kombat and Tekken, but that's a vanishingly small number compared to what has been left broken and unrepaired.

Honestly, it's just a little depressing, since I remember how glorious the arcade was when I was a kid. A prize redemption counter, so many more machines, including several rows of Skee Ball and some electromechanical arcade games, so of course I'm a little sad that this is all that is left.

But that breaks my heart when they can't even take care of what's left.

A little pricey but otherwise fine. Place was packed on a Friday evening. They also serve home made (restaurant made?) Ice Cream.

Vegetarian options: Several stock veggie pizzas to choose from.

The atmosphere was good and the service was great! But sadly, the food was horrible. Very poor quality pizza will not do it again. The crust and sauce were void of flavor it was comparable to a Red Baron pizza in the freezer section at Walmart. Very overpriced for what you get......

Better than other pizza places except they put ground sausage on every pizza. We order our pizzas without the ground sausages.

Absolutely the best pizza in the world is the Waldo pizza. Thin crust, light sauce and we'll done. Nothing beats it!
